Gibby states Eaton will be starting at CF tonight, according to Dave Burns.

May take a few games to shake the rust but he certainly will be a much needed spark to the lineup.

Parra in right, Eaton in center and one of the schmucks (Kubel/Ross) in left I guess... or, maybe put Pollack in left?

Forgot Nolasco is a righty, therefore Chavez gets the start at 3rd... I would guess though, that when we are facing a lefty, Ross will be in left field?
We need to find a way to dump Kubel... Ugghhhh....

Sweet, I was hoping Gibby wouldn't put Parra down any lower. I really like this line up.

Finally, Miggy is relieved of his cleanup responsibility. With Goldy followed by Hill and Chavez, he should get better pitches to hit.

I just hope that Gibby's history of finding a lineup that works, then abandoning it, will not be the case.

Perhaps... though, I'm ready to give Nieves the start for a while... Miggy is actually going backwards again and Nieves has been so damn clutch at the plate.

No kidding. Amazing how the better player sits because of $$$.

I thought it was supposed to be about winning.

Yup...

I guess Gibby can make the case (which is valid), that Miggy is 100x better defensively and handling the pitchers... But, this team desperately needs more consistent offense. If it were me, I'd roll the dice with Nieves and get Miggy to a shrink asap! His head is seriously messed up whenever he touches a bat!

And... Chavez was just scratched from the line-up tonight due to soreness/stiffness in his hip... BUMMER! Prado now moved to 3rd and one of the schmucks - Kubel, is now playing left field... BUMMER!!

If Nieves played for awhile, he would tire, which would affect his offense and defense. I would move Miggy down to the bottom of the batting order, which befits a .220 hitting Catcher, but leave him in for his defense and handling of Pitchers.

As of right now, Miggy has caught more innings than any other Catcher in the league. I wouldn't change that at this point.

The fact that Miggy has caught more innings than any other catcher means squat to me... All that says us that we are forcing a bad hand simply because Miggy got paid. And he made a horrendous throw already tonite that led to more runs... On rope of his standard o-for...
It's time to put Nieves in... The charade must end...

Wil is 35 years old. Very valuable as a spot starter, but "to put Nieves in" (please expound on what you are suggesting) is going to result in the same stats that mark his Major League career.

Miggy coming out of his shoes on every swing while Gibson insists on keeping him in the heart of the batting order isn't going to be solved by turning Nieves into a starter.

"Put in" = as in bench Miggy and start Nieves

You're acting as if Nieves should retire and move to Sun City... Yea, he's 35 (he turns 36 in September)... And??? How many games has he caught over the past 2-3 years?? The most games he's ever appeared in was 72 back in 2009! Hell, Blanco got more playing time than Nieves has!

I see no problem with giving Nieves a shot and telling Miggy to go see a doctor... Clearly, he's got anger issues as he is trying to kill the baseball on every pitch... :D

And Nieves gets the start!!! Thank you Gibby!
Actually, all of the lefties except Parra were pulled from the lineup vs. the Dodgers lefty. Ironically, lefty batters have a higher batting average against him than righties.
