Well. At least the could demand that they could put some restrictions.

1. Only home games.
2. Only Non-nationally televised games.
3. 48 hour notice. And fans that want to exchange those tickets for another game can.
4. No more than one healthy scratch player per game.

One thing that really irked Silver I am sure was that Cleveland sat lebron, Kyrie, and Love all in the same game.

I find it frustrating that it's the super teams resting healthy players. It's bad enough that you need 4 All Stars on a team, but now you need the 2nd night of a back to back off, for 3/5ths of the starting line up?

The suns tank ONE TIME as far as I know and we need to hear speeches from the commissioner and fans over and over like it's the end of the world. Meanwhile, the Spurs did almost a season long tank to get Duncan and got like 5 championships or something because of it. Now we're supposed to get a complex over tanking the last month of a dead season?? I dare Silver to lay down the law on this! Its like make your move buddy because we arnt backing down. Where was all this tough tank talk before this season???!!!!
This is not about tanking teams. It's about the Cavs and Warriors sitting their stars in recent games. Not just sitting stars but sitting sometimes 3 at a time. It's about sitting players for nationally televised games.

Sponsors do pay the bills.

Anyway. Just my two cents.

I think this is a non issue really. I mean it only amounts to a top player sitting out about 4-5 games in an 82 game season. I could understand if a stacked team was giving their players 10+ games off throughout the year, but that isn't the case. Maybe the NBA can work out a way to get rid of back to backs? That would just about eliminate giving top players rest.

The NBA already cut back on back-to-back games but the real problem is the season is too long. Perhaps they should cut back on preseason games. Even if teams aren't 100% ready they would all start on the same footing. I was looking how many games the Suns played in preseason and the answer was six games. Maybe this could be cut in half or even more. Every little bit helps.

They need to be more sensible about their travel. The way NBA teams travel back and forth across the country is silly. If they did a series, like baseball, they could cut travel. If teams played the Nets and the Knicks in succession, they could eliminate travel and be more rested.
