Did you catch it on DVD? If so are there any decent extras? I watched it in the theater and just loved it.

There are no extras. Like Panic Room, the only release is a Superbit release.

Glad I am not the only one.
I tried to watch it the other night - made it through about half of it.

Um, why? You're so quick to put it down, yet you don't say why.

Is there really a brother? In real life? As the credits finished, there was an "in loving memory" notice to his brother. There was a writing credit for Adaptation, and for "The Three" with a release set for 2004 for it. I thought that was all a bunch of hooey.
Also, I absolutely LOVE the way how in the beginning it was obviously our protaginist as the writer, but when he calls his brother to ask for help and his brother flies to NYC, the story TOTALLY changes into the farce that CHaplin describes. DId you uys get the fact that this is the point in whcih the brother started writing the screenplay? The whole thing changed into an action edvanture piece with every cliche imagineable. Hilarious.
Absolutely brilliant. Did y'all find the Adaptation message line phone number hidden on the menu screen? Called it. They have a VM set up to take messages on your feelings about the film.
Man. I need to do some research, becasue I get the distinct feeling that the film was an accurate portrayl of the wirter trying to write the film, until the point the brother came oin to help finish the script. I need to find out more.
Spike Jonze can sure as hell direct, too.
Charlie Kaufman HAS to be the best screenwriter of our day. Has to be.
