Not true. Anderson getting the penalty after he was clearly hit seconds after the whistle blew was comedy. I just didn't find the Seymour cheapshot funny. Two weeks ago, they (our opponent) threw the ball in disgust, and it was only a delay of game penalty.
I'll revise.

dcr found virtually nothing funny yesterday. :D

If tHe BeAn grabs the facemask on a stiffarm it is 15 yards. TE for KC does it? Nothing.

Meh... Ben the consumate Drama Queen sold it bigtime!

Do you really think he would fall down like that, curl his arms up to his chest in a near fetal position, to get a flag? You think it would be worth the humiliation? I could MAYBE see in a close playoff game going to those lengths to get a call.

Watch it again, he got beat down.

I've watched it several times... Seymour's hand actually slides off of him... And YES! I believe Ben would fall to the ground and curl up like an infant, just to get a flag. In fact, I'm convinced that's exactly what he did!! ;)

New rule. If you vote no in this poll you have to explain why? :D

Because it's just not funny. It's not like anything happened to make it funny. No one was on their hands and knees behind Roethlisberger to pull a gag on him. It's fairly typical and predictable chain of events--dude talk smack, dude gets punched in the mouth.

But if you need more reasons, here are some: Because it's not football. Because it sets a bad example from a man who is looked up to by kids. Because it's a childish reaction to what are likely inconsequential words from an equally inconsequential human being.

Ben Roethlisberger is one of the biggest piles of crap in the NFL.

Anytime he gets dropped is a good day in my book.. And I hate the Raiders.

Why so serious? :)

Wonder what Ben said to him that caused that reaction.

Seymour said that when he turned Ben was right in his face coming at him and "it was just instinct,"

He's a big guy but I still thought Ben flopped live. But the way he acted on the sideline I guess it hurt him more than I originally thought.

Loved it though.

Yup it is all of that. Yet still fantastically funny!

"Big" Ben dropped faster than Tara Reid's career. At first I thought he was doing a little acting, but the way he walked the the bench was pathetic. My team mated hit me harder than that getting ready for a game.

Hilarious, and no I dont think he was acting. If he was acting why was he working his jaw on the sideline for the rest of the game and having trainers look at it? The flag was already thrown, there was nothing to sell.

I think somebody needs to remix the video of the slap to "Suddenly Semour" from Little Shop of Horrors."

Reminded me of the Boise State player that was one punched by Blount. I say we take up a collection to pay Seymore's fine and I hate the Raiders but to see Big Ben go down like Frazier was priceless.

This one just adds to Ben's legacy.

1. Assaults defenseless women.
2. Hides behind his bodyguards.
3. Blames a little old lady for his crotch rocket accident.
4. Goes down for the count from a bij slap.

It just ain't macho Ben. HOF wuss.

BTW, this is a copy of an X Ray taken of Ben after the incident.

Note the glass jaw.

World Cup style, San Antonio-centric FLOP. Seymors blow was glancing at best. Ben's head rotated on the slap, and then well after the blow was over, his legs magically buckled.

great acting job.
