Bradford better thank the football god's that it was Rhodes and not AW coming in untouched off the edge in the 4th quarter (pretty sure AW was on the sideline at the time). I saw Rhodes come in and thought he was going to destroy Bradford but he pulled up and barely shoved him. Wilson would have treated him like Trent Edwards if he got that opportunity. I still have no idea why Rhodes pulled up, he came in there right when the ball was coming out and could have laid him out. I guess he decided it wasn't worth the risk of getting a PF.

Adrian's Sack

Let's clear this up, he didn't change his game due to fines. I thought it was obvious that the purpose of the jump versus the spear was he was expecting the QB to attempt a quick pass.

Ron Pitts is the pits...

Actually, they talked about Wilson and Breaston a lot.

However, the Play by play guy was awful. Kept saying that St. L had the blocked FG, and we had the interception and fumble recovery in the first quarter. Then he tried to say that if we recovered the Breaston play, it would be a safety, then he tried to cover his butt by saying that it would have been a safety if only if they fumbled IN THE END ZONE. Yeah, okay dude. There was more, I just was so annoyed. Jeez, I could do that job.

...I mean just awful....not knowing the rule saying it would be a sefety if we recovered in the endzone is simply unprofessional....but the best was, "The Rams are saving a timeout for when the set up for the FG" (of course they are down by 4)....dead air....dead air....John Lynch "Remember at home, a FG does the Rams no good because they are down by 4...they must go for a TD".....Pitts should be doing some sideline reporting, he can't screw that meaningless job up too badly....

I've never heard such incompetence and buffoonery from anyone calling an NFL game. He was also talking about the need to save a timeout so that the Rams could try a field goal with a four point deficit. Another time he shouted "INTERCEPTION!!! almost" like he was a drunken obnoxious Rams homer. Its hard to imagine anyone doing a worse job that this clown. Unreal.

Red Viper and dylan-

Yeah, I knew there was another one. I was so stressed at that point, that I couldn't focus my attention on exactly what stupid comment was made. And dylan, you are right, I think John Lynch just didn't know what to say about the riduculous statements coming out of his mouth. I kind of felt for him. What does he do there, he's gotta fix the mistake, but he really is calling out the play-by-play guy if he does.

Aw isn't just a star he is the big dipper. That guy plays football better than I've ever seen at safety. He just spreads his wings and flys around the field. We are very lucky to have him on the field of battle on our side!

I went to the game and AW had a wonderful game, the point I would like to make is AW is most likely going to have his BEST SEASON ever. Kerry Rhoades and AW work beautifully together, #25 and his abilities is going to let AW roam most of the year and that means a super year for AW.

I would also like to say that this defense is will be the best we have had for a while, they work really well together, their play will be a lot smarter.

I bought a black Wilson jersey more as a tribute to his career and his dedication to the Cards. I wore my jersey with PRIDE yesterday!

:doi:

Compare his hit of Trent Edwards vs. Buffalo last year and the subsequent $25,000 dollar fine, and his hit of Bradford today...

he jumped because sam was about to pass or else he would have lit him up.

As a punishment, he gets to do the Rams/Raiders game this week. Honestly, I'd rather just spend a day in Hell.

Is there any word yet on AW's foot? If you watch him after the last play of the game, he stays on the turf and clutches his toe. You can see it in the last few seconds of the clip below:

http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-netwo...ebc7/NFL-GameDay-Cardinals-vs-Rams-highlights

Can't tell if he is stretching out a hammy (which was cramping earlier) or if he hurt his foot. Either way, that image kept me up all night wondering if it was serious. Let's face it, we never get out of that crappy dome and off of that awful playing surface without at least one significant injury...

Just cramps.

Several of us must raise our hands and say we have either said it or at least thought it; Adub struggles in coverage.

After watching todays game I think Adub struggle in man coverage gut is awesome in zone coverage. When he gets to sit back and watch the play unfold and utilize his smarts, study of game tape and then use his speed he makes game changing plays.

Those that give some credit to Rhodes are spot on. Adub now has a partner he can trust and that will allow him to do what Adub does.

My favorite part is when Jackson stands over the accident victim, trying to make sure another truck doesn't hit his QB. Nice treefiddy.
