Bell made a LOT less $$$ than A-Dub.

I don't get it. I didn't get it when we released him and signed Bell, and I don't get it now.
Wilson could play better (I don't know how much better) than Bell did last year in the same role.
Wilson 2012
54 T (39 solo)
Sack 3
Pass-d 5
Int 1
Y. Bell 2013
77 T (61 solo)
Sack 1
Pass-d 9
Int 2
Bell was a more reliable tackler than A-Dub. That was the problem with A-Dub. Was a hitter but after his arm injury he didn't tackle well. I love the guy too...but his play was diminishing. Wasn't good in coverage either...and neither was Bell.

After everything Wilson did for this team, he is my favorite Cardinal and at the point of his career when it looks like he will have to walk away from the game and retire... I will not talk about any shortcomings as much as he was one bad ass football player all considered and I was lucky to say he played for my favorite team in his prime. THANK YOU ADRIAN WILSON!

The only comparison that matters right now is that both are in their mid thirties and are currently without a team.
Just as a data point for those who are comparing Wilson vs. Bell--
ARI defense vs. Tight Ends: 2012 & 2013
2012: -2.5% DVOA (15th), 5.2 Pa/G, 44.5 YPG
2013: 6.4% DVOA (20th), 9.0 Pa/G, 76.0 YPG
I'm fine with the decision to release Wilson and Rhodes--the results speak for themselves. But I don't think that comparing DVOA in two very different systems is or should be very convincing evidence.
I don't know. You're the one who posted the individual tackle stats. At least this has some performance context over the course of the season. Keep in mind that IIRC Wilson was playing with a torn bicep all of 2012.
But if people are going to be convinced or persuaded by raw stats that say something, perhaps they'll be persuaded by advanced metrics that say something different. Darren Urban mentioned in his Bell blog post this morning that obviously safety was a problem because our TE coverage was so terrible.
Why do you care? It aint your money..

Did the Cards gave the lead more so teams threw more in 2013? And 5 spots seems like a wash.
Five spots seems kind of like a wash, but the underlying numbers (going from above-average against TEs to well below average) is a problem. You don't have to look much farther than the fact that the team seems focused on dealing with the TE question this offseason to see that.
The Cards were the best in the league at frustrating top WRs last year, up from 10th the year before.
