You think Fantasia should be the #1 animated film of all time? I would think that the one they picked (Snow White) would be the biggest no-brainer of the bunch.

Agree. I was upset that Aladdin wasn't on the list. None of the aminated choices were undeserving though.

Upset upset? Really?

"Upset" as I get in one of these lists. I spent about 30 seconds wondering why half of them deserved to be there over Aladdin, and then decided that they all were deserving.

I'm over it now though.... thanks for asking.

I love The Third Man. Written by Graham Greene, one of the great novel writers of the 20th century.

Oh. I didn't know Green wrote the screenplay. The Quiet American is one of my favored novels.

Plus, it's Mel Gibson, whose reputation is less than stellar nowadays.

Hmmm. Chinatown's on the list -- and I think we can both agree it belongs there although No. 2 is debatable -- but no one disparages the film because Roman Polanski directed it.

Come on Gad. Polanski's thing happened YEARS ago. Mel Gibson's was recent. I assume your post means you agree that Braveheart is one of the top 10 epic films OF ALL TIME?

Nah, I just didn't think it was fair to knock the movie because of the director's personal reputation. What Polanski did far exceeded Gibson's stupidity. I do like Braveheart. If we're talking inspirational movies, Braveheart would be on that top 10 list.

Reds? I know the critics loved it and the Academy slathered it with love but did more than 17 people in the US watch it?

I'm only 37 and I saw it in the theaters with my mom and stepdad. So that's at least 3 people. :D
