I agree with Bayless2 (though not enough to be made to feel "sick").
The issue isn't the preponderance of Good comments vs. bad in the aftermath of a huge win. It's puzzlement over why some fans would focus on a sideline dust-up instead of enjoying the moment and savoring the win.
While any coach-player friction should at least raise a small red flag, understand who we're dealing with. Haley is very intense on the sideline, and we've seen him and Kurt Warner go at it hot & heavy a few times in the past. But then everyone cools down and chalks it up to "caring" and that's that.
Q also is very intense on the playing field. It should come as no surprise that he would "lose it" and argue with Haley as he watched the game seem to slip away. But I wouldn't read anything more to it than "the heat of the moment."
To be honest, I was banging my fist on the table due to frustration with both Haley and Pendergast (who seemed to have lost their first-half mojo during the 3rd quarter and the early part of the 4th). I'm not sure why that happened, and do believe both coordinators should re-examine what was happening and learn from it. (If they do, they'll be better coaches for it).
Young players aren't the only people who can improve during the course of a season. So can (& should) young coaches.
Bottom Line - I love every player on our roster. And every coach on the staff. Not that they can't continue to improve, but I wouldn't trade any of them.
I know it sounds Pollyannish, but that's kind of OK when your team has made it to the Super Bowl and really OK should they win it. (In a sense, Pollyanna is really our good friend, "The Fat Lady" just before she sings).
