I'm thinking/hoping that he'll be our #1 draft pick. I'm expecting that the team is happy enough with John Skelton to see him as the future, and will go after a veteran QB in FA. Green will take the pressure off Fitz, something that Breaston couldn't do, thus I think that they let Breaston and Doucett walk. Of course we need an elite pass rusher, so someone like Quinn also makes sense, just not as much as Green does. JMO.

I do not think that drafting AJ Green with a top 10 pick makes any sense for the Arizona Cardinals; and that is why the Cardinals may pick him...

I like AJ Green but unless all of a sudden Matt Millen is drafting for us I can't see him being the pick. If not QB(meaning Luck somehow falls to us) then defense defense defense.

If he is there, grab him. BPA. He could be an instant impact for some team that drafts him. If not, trade down and grab Mark Ingram. This team needs offense.

First off I'll be shocked if he makes it past the Bengals and second if the Cards lose next week they could pick as high as 3. If they get the third pick and don't take Patrick Peterson, I'll fly down to AZ and go Whiz hunting.

There are other positions of need, but I can't say that I would be mad at the Cardinals for taking Green, hes such a great receiver and would make our offense lethal by bringing both size and speed.

If we pick Green then say goodbye to Fitz. Green will go in the top 5 picks which will probably still command huge monies which Fitz will want at least matched for his new contract which means we have to go bargain shopping for defense again.

Drafting Green would be like buying a 60" LCD TV while living in a trailer park. Excessive and simply doens't fit. Who is going to throw the ball to him? We hope Skelton but instead of stocking up on bullets let's get a gun to actually use the bullets we have.

If a top-tier QB isn't there, I have a feeling we will be going with a defensive player for the first round pick. Probably a DE or an OLB.

I just don't see us taking a WR in the first round. But I wouldn't cry if he was the pick.

Green would not mean the end of fitz, considering we have a rookie pay scale coming. Green and Fitz would be BEASTLY and likely would be a better combo than Boldin/Fitz ever was. Hell, We have a Green/Fitz/Breaston trio we could lure just about any QB available here.

That being said, the 1st pick needs to be spent on Andrew Luck or PASS RUSH

I take this as you want us to get McNabb and believe he is the rifle to fire our bullets. McNabb is more like a shotgun, he has a tendency to be scatter armed.

I do want us to pick up McNabb or Bulger or Orton or ????????? some vet that doesn't have a DA resume.

The next thing is do we actually pay 30 million for 2 WR's?

Missed the big grin so never mind.

A WR or CB in the top 5 will make me vomit.

Every single pick in the draft should be a DE, LB, OL, QB

So you want to survive instead of party? :D

Cards need glamor pick. Green looks to be a once every 10 years WR.

Well we used a high draft pick to get Fitzgerald when we already had Boldin. That worked out pretty good for us.

Mattyboy doesn't like the pick but doesn't say why. As for need, we have a lot of them, but I think our defense is way ahead of our offense, and Green seems like a "sure thing" (and yes I know there is no such thing, make it a surer thing) to help the offense. And forget Andrew Luck, we have no shot at him. JMO.

We didn't win more than 6 games with them until Warner had his resurgence and Whiz became the head coach though.

The passing game/offense was pretty good when it was Warner throwing to Fitz and Breaston when Boldin was out with an injury.

I think we've got the receivers to have a good offense, we just need a good quarterback.

I firmly believe that had Dez Bryant been available last season Whis would've taken him over D. Williams.

AJ Green will be very good IMO and I could live with the pick but this team really needs IMPACT LBs and DE's in the worst way.

Hindsight is 20/20 but in that draft the Cards passed up QB's Phillip Rivers and Ben Roethlisberger to land Fitz.

I know its very tempting to take another position of need but when you could use the pick on a possible QBOF you should just take that chance.

What if Green is available and is the BPA?

I must be biased. I watched Georgia without him, when he was suspended. Total difference maker.

He has jet speed. Jumps over buildings. Catches everything he touches. Separates from defenders. Size to spare. Anything missing?

I too think that Green is very talented and looks like the best WR in this draft and a good WR prospect for the NFL.

To me, it does not make much sense to draft another wide receiver with a top 5 pick and tie up so much money into one position. We don't know if there will be a rookie pay scale. Without a rookie pay scale, we could be paying AJ Green $60 million for 6 years. Add that to Fitz's salary and we are paying a huge amount to one position. If we were the Cowboys or the Redskins, that wouldn't matter; however, for the Arizona Cardinals those numbers do matter and I would rather management spend/invest more into the defense.

If Green is everything everyone is saying about him then he won't drop far in the draft. That early in the draft it would be like splitting hairs on the BPA. I don't want us to reach but I doubt if Green is on the board that another player with great talent at a position of more need won't be available.

Julio Jones if a similar player -- and he's tougher -- and can be had in the middle of the first round. If you want a WR, trade down.
