I read somewhere on suns.com or azcentral that they would make their debut against Sacramento.

They just flew to Phoenix today to take their physicals.

But the team is in Milwaukee.

It is not like the Suns want to rush them into playing so they can win against Milwaukee.

That's a good point I guess. I just am worried about yet another game with only an 8 man roster. That's the sort of thing that can produce injuries. (with more than usual minutes) :(

Here's a blurb from the New York Post (ahem):

Marbury should play tonight, but it's contingent on whether the four former Knicks pass their physicals by tip-off. Most of them aren't flying to Phoenix until today. Marbury's Garden debut is Thursday vs. Jeff Van Gundy's Rockets.

It makes sense, Steph could only play if the 4 guys we got ALSO passed their physicals. Could they be flying out to Milwaukee tonight or tomorrow morning for the game?

ESPN's Rick Bucher just said that "people" have been telling Shawn Marion and Amare Stoudemire all season and their games are suffering because of Marbury.

Earlier, University of Utah coach Rick Majerus was asked who he would prefer between several pairs of players. One of the pairs he was asked about was Jason Kidd or Stephon Marbury. He said it wasn't even close. Now if you've been around here long enough you know that even while Jason Kidd was a Phoenix Suns I was not a big fan of his game. Still, I like his quote that "Jason Kidd handles the ball and dominates the game will Stephon Marbury handles the ball and dominates the ball."

He said that Marbury dribbles around so much that the other players on the court end up standing around not knowing what to do.

Would you allow for the possiblity that everybody stands around so much that Marbury has to dribble the ball not knowing what else to do?

Which came first... the chicken or the egg? That's a damn good question SirStefan32.

Exactly! I've been whining about them not moving without the ball all year. I think it was Eric or BC who've been saying the same thing.

I think everyone has.

My concern has been that Stephon was really, really good at the old "clear out play", but defenses can be set up to stop it. Now, all it does is make him challenge centers or pass to someone on the wing to take a jump shot. That did not work too well becauwe the Suns don't shoot jumps shots that well. I don't think Stephon is unwilling to pass the ball, it is just that he passes it out rather than in.

He could do very well in New York since their personnel may be a better fit for him.

In regards to Amare/Marbs and Marion/Marbs possibly not being all peaches and cream...

I have one thing to say:

WHERE THERE'S SMOKE, THERE'S FIRE!

The list continues to grow...

Garnett
Van Horn
Amare
Marion

4 players
3 teams

Interesting point, but I think the issues here are purely playing style rather than personalities.

By the way, you left off Googs.

Don't they go hand in hand?

I still think Marbury is a helluva player. I'm not going to sit here and tear apart his game. He's a fantastic player who knows how to play ball.

But, there's something about his game that causes others to relax. I still haven't seen Marbury dominate a game on both sides of the ball for 48 minutes.

I'm not sure you can put Kevin Garnett and Tom Gugliotta on that list. They both played very well with Stephon Marbury.

Not always. Some guys are total jerks in the locker room. From all accounts, Stephon has been a good guys to be with. It is just that his game style is such that the team needs to be built around him.
