I saw the first one and though it was entertaining. However I thought they could have done a lot more with it. Hopefully they put a good story together and make the second one better.

In one of the most remote areas possible.

Maybe they mean in a big city or something.

I'll be interested as long as Paul W. S. Anderson is not involved.

Source: Variety
September 25, 2006

Reiko Aylesworth and Steven Pasquale have been cast as the leads in 20th Century Fox's Alien vs. Predator 2, which begins filming next week in Vancouver, reports Variety.

Greg and Colin Strause direct from a script by Armageddon writer Shane Salerno. Davis Entertainment's John Davis and Robbie Brenner are producing.

Aylesworth, a former series regular on Fox's "24," recently finished filming The Killing Floor, executive produced by Avi Arad and Doug Liman, as well as a supporting role in Mr. Brooks.

Pasquale appears in the FX series "Rescue Me." His film credits include Aurora Borealis.

I just watched Predator II (again) a few nights ago. Trying to get through the first 20-30 minutes is hard but once Glover starts chasing after the preddy it's all fun and games. I love the way that movie ended!!

I think I'm going to watch AVP here in a few nights.

Ok, now THAT'S what the Alien vs. Predator movie should be like.

And to top it off, it stars Reiko Aylesworth, who played Michelle on 24!

Why did I go see this movie with any sort of expectations???? What a waste of time and money, I should have went to National Treasure 2 or Walk Hard.

Agreed! I was blown away by that trailer but so kudos to the editors of it for getting me to part with my money. Man, did that movie suck, though! I thought that Southland Tales would remain the worst movie of 2007 but this may have bumped it.

I give it a 6.5-7 out of 10...

I don't like how the writers took the liberty of letting the hybrid Pred/Alien implant drones in women. I think they would have been better off with the hybrid finding the right host for a new queen and he acting like a personal body guard while a small group of Pred's go in to take the queen out.

Also, the face hugger to fully grown drone was really quick (less than 24hrs maybe closer to 12hrs). In the original I thought the timeline was around 24hrs or more. Could be me just being nitpicky...

I liked the fact they had no problem killing off anyone. Children, pregnent women, and so on. Although there is no feeling of remorse for any of the victims.

Just about everyone laughed when the women cryed out "the government doesn't lie to us". Ah, what a marroon!!!!

I agree with you on your points. But it was a fun 90 mnutes of mind blowing thinkless entertainment. It achieved its goal IMO. I really wonder what people expect out of a movie ike this sometimes?

You bet... To say this is the worst movie ever is an exaggeration. I realize it is opinion and all but at least it was carnage with a few hot chicks. That is worth 6 points right there!!!

Bingo.

Battlefield Earth still holds that title by a wide margin.
