All you Levi Brown defenders still believe he doesn't suck?

What do you think?

Option 1 - LT Levi, LG Colledge, C Sendlein, RG Fanaika, RT Winston

Option 2 - LT Potter, LG Colledge, C Sendlein, RG Fanaika, RT Winston

Option 3 - LT Massie, LG Watford, C Sendlein, RG Colledge, RT Winston

Or something else? Personally I think #1 remains our best bet.

No. 1 is written in stone - imo.

Tonight we might as well have had Batiste out there. He looked like an UDFA.

he's ****ing terrible. False start machine. Plays like a mid-round rookie.

Like it or not is still be best LT on the team. You just have to live with his mental mistakes three times a game. It is what it is.
Good old Levi. Back to his old tricks again.

It's like MCD says, it is what it is because I don't see the coaches moving him.

Completely agree Section 11. If anythings a broken record its Bucky.

The broken record is his play on the field along with you & others defending Levi's play.

With each game, he backs up my statements of what a piss poor LT he is, the tape dont lie brotha. Keep defending his play, because without a doubt he's atrocious!

I keyed in on Levi and Dockett the first half.. Dockett made one decent play.. other than that, they both got blown up at the line of scrimmage ALL night.. It looked like they had a lot of double teams called on Dockett, but he was so completely manhandled by the first body to hit him, the other guy looked for someone else to block.

Levi is just pure garbage.

Dock made an amazing recovery to make a tackle for loss...missed on the first swipe in the backfield, turned on his knees and pulled the back down for a loss still. It was a boss play.

Dockett had his worst season last year, and it appears to me that this one won't be much better. Oh, he'll flash on certain plays. But, overall, he is no longer one of the NFL's best at DT.

First-round tackles making ~$6mil/season should be able to consistently block on an island; not dedicate a position player to make sure he doesn't get blown by like a matador. Don't care how good he is run blocking, his pass blocking leaves much to be desired.

Top LTs make 8+, so you are off by about 2 mil.

How about this

He had at least two falses, I thought three. Maybe I added his hold to the falses.

Nope. Levi had one false start and a holding penalty.

Winston had a false start

Sperry also had a false start with the first team offense.

But that's equal to 4 false starts and 3 holding penalties in ASFN terms.

I didn't watch the game, thankfully, but I'm not going tp rip Levi, or any starter for that matter, that has a bad pre-season game. Unless you're a rookie or UDFA, The games are meaningless. Meanwhile, the players are un-motivated and look at is as a necessary evil until the regular season gets underway.

Levi always is unmotivated to get better, so he's in mid season form & ready to go :D

And BA responds by saying how good Feeney was. :bang:

Who are we going to believe? Our lying eyes or Cardinals coaches?

The way things went Saturday night, the Cardinals are going to have yet another high draft choice next May to address LOT, QB or pass-rusher. :(

Levi had the two penalties and got bet by Freeney a couple of times in pass protection. However Levi did look really good run blocking.

I would pass out if we got Jake Mathews or Anthony Barr

BA also said that while one would expect any LT to have issues with Freeney, he said that the hope is you don't get beat by him as bad as Levi did on that sack.

What BA said, imo, was a perfectly honest assessment and not a cop out or a lame excuse.

I heard Winston's 65 as 75 at the stadium. Thanks for the clarification. I went back to see the play by play and that's exactly the one I thought Levi did.

It's the truth. Are you denying it? If so, you're watching just the defense & drinkin cold ones when the Cards have the ball offensively...cause his play is...offensive! :D

Bucky, Those are actually pictures of what happens to our QB, the horse, after Levi whiffs on another block.

:D

He and Cooper were excellent blocking in the run game against Dallas as well.

Like last year, now that Cooper is out, I am more worried about the interior OL. A trio of Colledge, Sendlein, and Fanaika doesn't sound any better than Colledge, Sendlein, and Snyder. However, Brown and Winston sounds much better than Batiste and the first half year of Massie.

Cut Levi some slack, at least his football pants fit. The ones he wears in practice looks like he's wearing a wet diaper.

One step at a time folks.

+1 on all this. The interior line is now bad. Either Levi Brown or Eric Winston (who has been getting an s-ton of help on the right side) is our best offensive lineman right now.

That's terrible. I think that Levi didn't get help against Freeney because the coaching staff wanted to see what help he'll need in the regular season. But if Winston needs that much help on the regular, we're going to be in some trouble come fall.

There's almost nothing you can do when the interior line needs help, and all three of those interior linemen are below-average.
