Yeah lets see Amare increase his career high ironically against the Timberwolves.

Usually the MVPs of the rookie - sophomore game get a huge boost in the 2nd half of the season. Richardson and Arenas were examples of that.

Uck. All-Star weekend is nothing but a popularity contest. The only worthwhile things are the rookie-soph game and the 3-point shooting contest. But will I take time out of my day to watch it? Absolutely not. The dunk contest ceased being interesting the minute Ced Ceballos decided to put on a blindfold. Instead of everyone gasping in disbelief, it just led everyone to question whether he could actually see through it.

Slin loves the slam dunk competition because, well, they just don't DUNK in European basketball. :p

But it's good to know he can have a conversation with himself and still have a good attitude. :D

On SportsCenter's top 10 they have Richardson's second slam dunk as their #4 play of the day and Fred Jones' dunk (the ones where he thought it behind him with one hand and slammed it) is #1. These people must be ********. That's second dunk by Richardson was probably the best one ever IMO.

Agreed! The difficulty factor of that was enormous!! Like I said, in gymnastics and skating they have rules to apply as to which manuevers are more difficult. That's the only way to put some type of objectivity into an event that is so subjective. The only impressive thing about Fred Jones' dunk was managing to slam with such power after grabbing it from so far back. However, if that's a 50, then Richardson's was a 100!! :D
