In offseason mode, spending it in Maui..
Been reading Cards chatter at night and loving what I've heard so far from various outlets. Granted, take it all with a grain of salt, but it's been good news and the vibe is so positive around this team.. what a change from years past with so much uncertainty and potential doom.
Hearing Coop looks like he may live up to his draft status at RG while we pencil in Iupati at LG, who can't be much worse.. if any worse.. than Ted Larsen in pass protection. Speaking of Ted.. is he going to beat out AQ Shipley for center? Sounds like he may not..
Shipley.. by most accounts has to be an upgrade, even if slight, over Sendlein. Will miss Send and what he brought to this team given his way into the NFL but the time has come for someone else to man that position.
Excited to see what the rooks can do and Kareem Martin moving to OLB. Initial reports have been position but its shorts and anyone can appear to be a stud there. He has all the tools.. he just needs to take the coaching and use it.
I think this year is going to be a break out season for John Brown. Can't wait to see how he looks in camp in 6 weeks. Floyd needs to have a huge year as well so if we can get good production from the two, plus I have high expectations for the run game via Ellington/Johnson... should be a potent offense from the BirdGang this year.
Last, but not least, is Bethel going to step up and take his best opportunity to become a CB2? I doubt they let him walk but it would help his cause for a bigger contract and we could use him to become a stud at CB2 as well as ST's.
