While the draft hasn't gone exactly as planned, most of us weren't too off in who was 1st round material, etc., etc.

Except for the Seahawks channeling their inner Raiders drafting technique it all seemed pretty par for the course.

That being said a lot of OT's, and OG's fell, and I feel that will play to the Cardinals. One of two things are going to happen in the next 48 selections. Either there will be a huge run on offensive linemen, and it will leave a big time defensive prospect on the board. Or there is going to be a great value OL at #80.

Top OT/OG/OC left:
Cordy Glenn
Jonathan Martin
Bobbie Massie
Mitchell Schwartz
Amini Silatolu
Kelechi Osemele
Senio Kelemete
Brandon Mosley
Tony Bergstrom
Phillip Blake
Mike Adams

** Keep in mind there are some good prospects projected for the 4th round too, like one of the boards' favorites Levy Adcock

Unless one out of every 1 picks is one of these players, they will be there at #80. For a third round pick, any of these players would be a good value, IMO. It should not be a surprise that with the pick of M.Floyd, Levi Brown is our LT next year, no matter what. But, one of these young OT's could be our RT.

If Osemele or Massie are there, I like them. However I wouldn't rule out an OLB like Ronnel Lewis either. Reading between the lines, I don't like the fact that the Cards seem to be thinking they have to take an OT in round 3. Stick to the board.

I'll be shocked if O-line isn't the next pick and your post highlights why.

I won't be suprised to see us package our #3 and a #6 to move up and get when of them.

I'd assume Massie, Glen, Martin will all be gone.

Oddly enough, the guy I think could drop and I'd be happy taking is Mike Adams (who I railed against in an earlier thread). I think his talent and ability to play LT would make him a possible steal and very good value for the 3rd round. I don't think his indescretions are anything all that major, more youth stupidity.

Of course, that would give us the all-star draft for over-indulgers, but just think of the parties!

That's why I don't see us looking at Adams until rd 5 or 6.

Thing is Floyd seems to be moving in the right direction and appears to have cleaned up his issues. Adams test positive for smoking pot at the combine. Dude clearly isn't on the right track at this point.

those are the two I like -- particularly Osemele from Iowa State

Kelechi Osemele or Mitchel Schwartz if we go OT.

LB is a definite need.

Secondary is a need as well.

There should be some good players available, and I hope we stick to the board.

I guess WR would be out now. :D

How about we trade one WR and take another in the 3rd then with the trade of Roberts or Doucet and take one of the above. :D

Per Jurecki tweets alluding to this - Do not be surprised if the 3rd round pick is not a OT.

Sounds like they have a lot of Tackles graded out in the 3rd and 4th round. meaning they may pass on an OT in the 3rd round because they have very similar rated OT's they can get in the 4th round.

or, if he's there, I'd love to have Mychal Kendricks, ILB, Cal.

Sounds like good sense. I'm saying their going DB mtl. Maybe a Safety.

It could be a rookie and another veteran. They go DB somewhere here.

I'd say DB, OT and LB. There will also be a glut of capable DL available there. Maybe they'll wait there until the 6th like with Carter last yr.

Don't forget the dark horse pick P. Anger the P from Cal.

my sleeper 3rd round pick is S Brandon Taylor from LSU. If the Cards rated Barron that highly, I suspect they have a pretty high grade on Taylor as well. Here's a scouting report on him from Walterfootball:
http://walterfootball.com/scoutingreport2012btaylor.php

Great call, Cbus. However, I think he will be taken in Round 2, but keep an eye on his teammate CB Ron Brooks (6-0, 190)...4.3 speed, STs ace, versatile...plus, I bet Patrick Peterson will be the GM on this one!

My next four picks probably would come out

Brandon Taylor - S
Senio Kelemente - OG
Jake Bequette - OLB/DE
Thomas Compton - OT

though again, if Mitchell Schwartz or Kelechi Osemele are available, I think hard about them. Same goes with a LB.
