Welp too bad this one won't be happening, but it did seem too good to be true.
I still feel like if the Suns are going to trade Amare, Oklahoma City is the destination that makes the most sense. If they take Harden at #3 (I think they will & should), they've got a good wing trio with Westbrook-Harden-Durant going forward, but their very undersized upfront, having to start Jeff Green at the 4.
According to RealGM a Amare for Jeff Green, Nick Collison & Earl Watson trade works. The Suns get a SF of the future, a PG who can start for a rebuilding team if the Suns move out Nash and a decent big guy in Collison.
Then maybe the Suns could get OKCs #25 pick this year, or their own 1st rounder for 2010 back next year.
If I was OKC there is no way I trade that 2010 pick. It's going to be top 10 in a much better draft than this one.
he has already checked out of being a Sun
Oh, I wasn't aware of that. Thanks for the insight Andrew.
I'm not disputing your analysis of Jeff Green's value, but i wanted to take the opportunity to say that I think J. Green is very underrated.Don't forget they also have their own 2010 pick which, even with Amare, will be a lottery pick. Getting an All NBA player, who plays in the front court (which is what they need) would be a pretty sweet deal for them, especially since Jeff Green will never likely be worth much as a PF and is redundant with Durant.
why didn't the suns just draft jefferson?
