Welp too bad this one won't be happening, but it did seem too good to be true.

I still feel like if the Suns are going to trade Amare, Oklahoma City is the destination that makes the most sense. If they take Harden at #3 (I think they will & should), they've got a good wing trio with Westbrook-Harden-Durant going forward, but their very undersized upfront, having to start Jeff Green at the 4.

According to RealGM a Amare for Jeff Green, Nick Collison & Earl Watson trade works. The Suns get a SF of the future, a PG who can start for a rebuilding team if the Suns move out Nash and a decent big guy in Collison.

Then maybe the Suns could get OKCs #25 pick this year, or their own 1st rounder for 2010 back next year.

If I was OKC there is no way I trade that 2010 pick. It's going to be top 10 in a much better draft than this one.

Don't forget they also have their own 2010 pick which, even with Amare, will be a lottery pick. Getting an All NBA player, who plays in the front court (which is what they need) would be a pretty sweet deal for them, especially since Jeff Green will never likely be worth much as a PF and is redundant with Durant.

Kahn cant actually believe he is going to lock up Amare. Its a great deal for the Suns even if its not the 6th pick.

Not saying it would happen, but if Jefferson came to us for Amare, and we traded Shaq, hopefully the Shaq pieces would be young, too. We could look to rebuilding with two trades. I am in no hurry on Amare, and I really like Shaq. Of the two deals, I think I'd rather see Shaq going, just because he will be gone for sure in a year anyway.

I'm not disputing your analysis of Jeff Green's value, but i wanted to take the opportunity to say that I think J. Green is very underrated.

Too bad about the Jefferson deal...

This deal doesn't sound half bad especially if we get our 1st rounder for 2010. The question is who starts at PF for us... Jeff Green? ;)

We should try to move Nash or J-Rich for a big and a pick if this deal happens.
