It was an incredible performance, but still it was a team effort. The Suns are learning the art of playing the hot hand and Amare didn't force many shots.
This may be the refutation to the theory that the way to beat the Suns is to play Amare one on one while concentrating on stopping everyone else. It worked for the Spurs, but the Suns wing guys kept shooting even though they were not getting open looks.
Pounding it into Amare had the added advantage of getting all the Blazer's big guys into foul trouble on night when the refs were letting a lot go.
