Basketball is a team game. There are a lot of great players that benifit from those around him, part of being a good player is learning to work to your maximum capacity with what's around you. Marion did that. Zero 1 on 1 game is a joke. He's not a great 1 on 1 by any means, but zero game is just silly.
On topic, Amare's touches and his points are way up, but it seems like it's coming at the expense of his rebounding and his defense. He had 3 total rebounds today which just isn't going to get it done. My big fear for Amare is that he's leaning too much on Shaq. Now here comes the part where everyone here will tear me a new one..
The Suns have to be careful with Amare here. If Amare is left to play purely the way HE wants he will be all about scoring. Flame me if you want, I'm not being hostile, but when I watch Amare play, I see a player that cares about his points 1st and foremost. Amare has always seemed disinterested in defense, he gets up on occasion for a sweet block (or 4) but other then that, he just seems to want to score. With Shaq in the line up, he seems more apt to just "let Shaq do it." That could end up being a bad thing. 31 points is a good game, but 3 boards just isn't going to cut it. If Shaq plays well, he'll make up for the rebounding you lose from Marion, Amare has to pull his weight on both sides. Amare has to learn to compliment Shaq, not lean on him.
