I thought that this case was settled months ago and she lost and owed Depp like $12M.

But today’s headlines say she settled for $1M?

If I have it correct. The trial gave Depp $15M originally but it got reduced down to $10.35M due to a cap on punitive damages. Heard also won one of her claims for $2M leaving a $8.35M balance to Depp. Heard appealed the ruling.

If I have it right, this is a settlement of all of that. Instead of going on with the appeal and more legal fighting they settled. I think this is right but I'm not at 100% confidence.
