The "competition" is for 2nd place. The winner is Adam Lambert, it's been over for weeks. I will go so far as to say that no one on that show has even a slight chance to win over Adam. It's a battle for #2, it has been for a while.

I think he could have trouble in the finals.

1. His voting base is big and very specific. You either love him or you hate him.

2. As other contestestans are voted off, they will (IMO) go with the other candidates. I think Gokey, Giraud, and Anoop will benefit the most from this. If Gokey has a great finale (which he should based on the pop ballads they always pick) and Adam isn't allowed to arrange the ballads in his own way, it could get ugly.

Gokey vs. Adam is a downright lock in my opinion. And Gokey's sob story coupled with disenfranchised voters could swing it his way.

Scott sings off key, is nasally and picks terrible songs. He is a great inspiration and his story is pretty cool, but he was the worst of the last 8.

holy crap - i think that mormon kid from last year finally hit puberty - he sounded terrible last night

horrific lyrics, crap presentation and his voice, tone, etc were just awful

that and he was still breathing hard going into break..........

That was painful to listen to - hell, there were about 50 singers this season better than that crap

i had to ask the other people in my house if it was as bad as it sounded ...... i was never a fan so thought maybe I was just being harsh with my listening

they all agreed it was pretty brutal - even those who loved him last year conceded that he was "having an off night"

I have been hearing from multiple sources, though, of an organized campaign to get out the Christian vote via churches for especially Gokey, and to a lesser extent Kris. Adam is the target of the wrath, since he is perceived as an evil gay.

It's a stretch to believe he was in the bottom 3, but bottom 2? No way.

Yes and I told my wife before the show started that it would play this way.

I was hoping he would be kicked though. A part of me was hoping the moment wasn't staged.

I can't stand the screamy stuff the guy does, plus Matt was one of my favorites.

Oh well, looks like a dead wife guy/Adam showdown.

Yes I think he is going to win, but MAN, its like he has pulled the wool over everyones ears, and has made his screaching his trademark...

If I could have one wish it would be that he went home... and I am glad to read that I am actually not the only one, but I do believe unfortunantly we are in the minority... I REALLY wish each contestant had two voting lines, one to vote, and the other to Vote against.. I won't vote like CRAZY against Adam... any way Idol will take this into consideration? just sayin...

This is why I think Danny will win.

Danny will gain the votes Kris loses next week when he is eliminated. Also, I am unsure if the show will allow Adam to mess with whatever pop anthem crap song they give the two of them in the finale.

I really think Danny is going to beat him.

He is by far the best singer of the three.

Danny Go-offkey is by far the worst ever finalest. He makes William Hung look like a trained singer.

Kris is nice, and a decent singer, but nothing spectacular.

And I also want to say this... How is it that one of the final 32 was kicked off the show because she had an albumn out and was considered too proffessional, yet Adam, who has been working on Broadway in a major show, is not considered professional? Just curious...

But Danny has his ups and downs, Kris is better than you give him credit for, I think he compares very favorably to David Cook from last season (Without the insane guitar playing and musical arrangement talent)...

adam is working on his presence and look .... that's his tough part, however his voice is right on

i've been saying for a while now i'd love to see him try queen or zepplin (i was shocked when he actually did, was shocked they let him sing that on a family program and confirmed at how well he did)

also any of that late 70s theatrical rock into the 80s rock scene .... his voice fits right in there with them ..... it's the image that's the issue

i think he'd kill on GnR songs as well

guys like Freddy Mercury, Robert Plant and Axl have such powerful and unique voices most can't pull it off

He screaches better than Danny sings.

He has an amazing voice - he just needs some help directing it.

Come on now. I think you are both going overboard. This is the most talented group of finalist that they have ever had. I think that at least the top 5 will be doing well for themselves post AI.

I have to admit that Adam is incredible and should win this contest. His screeching gets old to me when it is forced but fits well in a lot of his songs. But his voice control when he doesn’t scream is what is amazing to me. That being said I like Kris and Danny's style more and I really think one of them will win. Not that they are better then Adam (they are both very talented) but they are both drawing from the same voting pool. When one of them gets eliminated, the majority of those votes will go over to the other leaving Adam out.

Kris is lucky to even still be in the competition. Adam and Gokey are much much better than Kris. Adam will probably win it think its a forgone conclusion. Dback jon you must have issues with Danny because he has been consistantly good last week was obviously not his type of music but to say he can't sing is just ignorant. Danny I believe is a singing teacher and has fantastic control over his tone and pitch he just doesn't have the IT stage factor to be a star, but he has better control over his vocals than anyone left on the show. Just because you don't like him doesn't take away from the fact he is a great vocalist, just not a rock front man for sure.

I agree, I haven't really watched much of this season but I caught his Led Zeppelin cover and was pretty impressed. he definitely does have a rock voice and I could see him fronting a decent rock band.
