LAST NIGHT'S GAME

We scored early, we scored late
But the in-between wasn't so great.

Fans will bemoan the running game
And want to know who is to blame
Is it the backs or is it the line?
All I know the results were not fine

Others will say it's the pass defense
They surely are to blame
Cause they just put Chez Daniel
In the PS Hall of Fame

I'll just wait to hear the coach speak,
But I'm sure he'll say, we'll be better, next week.

the running game was really lame
the offensive line was most at blame

the backs were fine when holes were there
just not much space for them to share

pass defense with ones was great
its twos and threes we need to hate

the O-line pass blocked really well
the ones and twos and threes were swell

the D-line ones were very good
the twos and threes not where they should

have been when they were in the game
their poor results indeed were lame.

good news is here to be addressed
the TE unit has progressed

much farther than we thought they would
their play was really very good.

And Palmer was once more 'The Man'
he played as well as a QB can.

And Stanton's day was OK too
but shows that he belongs a two.

'Twas Thomas was the big surprise
his progress clearly on the rise.

the ball he bounced off Juron's chest
should have been caught, we know the rest

the TD pass he threw was bobbled
it made his stats look badly hobbled.

he probably should have had two scores
had his receivers done their chores.

release was quick, his reads were good
he placed the ball just where he should

when he was pressured he did well
to unload the ball, or run like hell.

alas poor Sims, had no such day
his stats reflected his poor play

the Defense sucked beyond the ones
and butt kicking should occur by tons

when Monday practice comes around
and film is watched, and flaws are found

cause huge improvement must be made
or this group just won't make the grade.
