We had only a half-schedule in Major League Baseball last night, but there were postseason implications all the same: The Red Sox were eliminated from the AL East race by virtue of their loss to the Yankees; The Indians gained a half-game on the idle Twins in the AL Central and a full game on the Athletics for the second Wild Card, and stand five back and one-half game back, respectively; The Astros and Yankees remain deadlocked for home field advantage throughout the AL playoffs; The Brewers and Cubs both won, keeping things status quo in the race for the second Wild Card between those two at two games apart, while the Dbacks and the Phillies losses push them two and a half games and three ...
