We always say that we were surprised with a pick that the player was still on the board. But damn, I really thought he would be drafted late first round or early second round. He doesn't have to start on day one and could be a development project for Kugler but that is okay. Bottom line he is a steal.

What I like is we actually have 4 tackles I am not terrified to see play for the first time I can remember

Happy about him at 72 but I would add another interior lineman in round 4 and a defensive tackle with the second pick

Biadasz and Lawrence should be a nice combo

We need a center badly cause I don't trust Cole yet

We need DL much more. I don't really trust Zach Allen, and his backup is a scrub.

Well Hearst and Jones both drafted by the cards in Arizona went on to be top 20 all time rbs- DJ May be the same - what I don’t get is every time we sign some Rb for doing well they go to poo! Hopkins is great, but we need a longterm engine on offense!

Hearst and Jones top 20 all time at RB? You mean like in NFL history top 20?

no way lol.
I’m slipping on Hearst (52 all time now) but jones was in the top 20 when he retired- still both left Arizona after injury and had huge success! - CJ and Edge was our most successful rbs at the end of their career - now DJ teases us and another train wreck. Give Drake a big contract and he may go bust too!

Neither of those guys were top 20 all time.

Nowhere close.

Career yardage doesnt make a player better than others. Terrell Davis had less yards than Thomas Jones, and Davis was 100x the back Thomas Jones was.

C'on, stop the back and forth. J

"Neither of those guys were top 20 all time.

"and Davis was 100x the back Thomas Jones was."

Loooooots of defense this offseason. Warranted.

signed a DT and two LBs as primary acquisitions

drafted two LBs and two Dlinemen

Also have Allen and Alford returning from injury

Vance has a lot of clay. Let’s hope he can properly mold it into something worthwhile.
