Teams are built in the middle RB OL DL LB S

No team ever drafted a CB or Kicker for that matter that made the team turn a corner. This is the same as throwing a 1st rounder away.

HE was the top CB in the draft on a lot of people's board. We have no depth at CB. This was our #1 priority going into the offseason. Unfortunately, we couldnt address it in FA but at least we got one in the draft

DMC was also one of the highest rated player on most of the "experts" boards.

bizarre

I think we got the best corner in the draft. I liked the one who went earlier, but it was a premium on a return guy ... we got a 6'1+ corner with 4.33 speed who may be the best corner in the draft.

Mendenhall would have been a good pick, too... but I think we made the better choice in terms of immediate impact and overall talent.

We got one that MAY be a good one based on measurables and not much more.

You can say that about pretty much everyone in the draft.

No you cant. This guy didnt even dominate at his level of competition which was less than stellar.

Why don't we wait and see him play before we rake him over the coals.

Wait a sec, I'm not a huge fan of the pick, but he had great production for at least a couple of years.

Watch a lot of Tenn State football? How anyone can say he is a good one without him even playing against NFL quality WRs or QBs is a stretch. He may be a "good one" but right now the only thing to get excited about are his workout numbers. I can't see how anyone isn't concerned about a football player who is 6-1+ and weighs under 185 lbs...I'm 5-11 and 185 lbs and I consider myself skinny and I won't be trying to tackle Stephen Jackson in 2 games a year.

He was ok. But he wasn even at a big school playing against lackluster competition. To me he should have dominated, yet he didnt. Sometimes measurables just dont measure up.

FWIW, if a player with two kidneys loses one during his NFL career, he's done anyway.

News to me... Why would a guy's career be done if he still has one working kidney? And, if this is true, why then would DRC be able to enter the NFL with only one kidney??

Then the haters would have nothing to say. Hate on him if you want, but I'll damn sure be rooting for him.

Did someone one here say they wouldnt rot for him? Or did we say we dont like the pick?

From NFL.com draft profile

In 39 starts for the Tigers, opposing quarterbacks completed just 55 of 161 passes (34.16%) thrown in Rodgers-Cromartie's immediate area. He intercepted 11 of those throws, deflected 25 and held the opposition to a miniscule 3.54 yards per pass attempt, the best of any collegiate defensive back over the last three seasons.

Sounds like domination to me

Because our fans are idiots? This was an excellent pick.

Look, I predicted Mendenhall would slide in my mock. There's a reason why even the Lions bypassed him. Not to say he isn't a good player...he is. The fumbling issue may be one area teams are concerned about. But, the Cards drafted the most physically gifted defensive back in this draft, so give them props because we needed secondary help in a huge way.

The Baltimore Ravens did quite well with first rounders. Had great from seven, but I am just saying McAlister and Starks were great for them.

Just about to post that. Further, his scouting report said that no other CB has dominated that division since our own A. Williams. That's good enough for me.

I've little bad about this kid.

All the analysts seem to think he is good now and as a lot of upside.

Of course ALL draft picks are a crap shoot, all you can do is try to load the odds in your favor.
