In a van...down by the river.
B.Leonard did next to nothing last year.
He's a tweener.
Leonard isn't a playmaker as a RB and why spend a 2nd round pick on a FB?
Avery could have been had much later.
I hope he can have some success ala a "Steve Smith" type but i'm skeptical.
Meh...no one here cares about my RAMS anyway LOL!

Threads like this make me wonder.

Is this why our team continues to suck or is this thread why some of our fans continue to suck?

name one good non tackling non physical tweener CB in the league.

Not current, but Deion Sanders was the epitome of non-physical corners that hated to bump heads and tackle, and he did OK in taking away 1/2 the field.

FWIW, DRC is one solid elbow to the side away from a transplant... Dude has only ONE kidney...

That would bug me if he lost his kidney last year, but it happened when he was 8 years old and before even starting competitive football. Non-issue for me.

Absolutely its a crap shoot. But for my money Ill take the big school talent all day. I bet Cason has a better career than this guy!

I'll take that bet. While there are no great statistics to measure corners, I'll bet $20 that DRC has more INTs in 2008 than Cason. If Cason has more, you win, if it is a tie then bet off. Up for it?

I think DRC can be a stud but coming from a small school will take a little while longer to adjust than Cason.

Also, not sure he will have many opportunities for picks, with Rolle flying around snatching up passes left and right.:D

Trust me on this one... While I can't remember the last time a NFL player had such a sever kidney injury that he needed to have it replaced, I can assure you that in more games than you can ever imagine, a player has suffered a kidney injury...
It is actually a fairly routine injury in the NFL, and I would guess that over the course of a year, at least one player per week suffers an injury to the kidney...

This may be true, but DRC is obviously 50% less likely to suffer a kidney injury.

Do you ever stop spewing smac??

For the record, I am on board with swd, Shane & co.

I wasn't aware I had started. But seriously, some people on this board just aren't happy unless they aren't happy. That bothers me.

For the record, I stand by my statement. And how can any Cardinals fan with a brain make the comment the original poster made? Does the name Marcus Trufant ring a bell?

It's probably coincidence, but Seattle picked him at 11 in 2003 and has yet to miss the playoffs. So even if it is pure coincidence, yes, a team in our division, no less, HAS drafted a corner with its first round pick that made it turn a corner.

Plus, to compare selecting a kicker to a corner as your top choice is insanity. Most people know that in this division especially, a corner is a key to your franchise.

I don't think that I made my desire for Cason a secret. I think that we did very good today despite the fact that Cason is a Charger. Very good. We won't know for at least a year though.

that's what i thought

I guess Deion Sanders was only 6'1" and 198. He was a little smaller and a little faster, but you're right, those kinds of players never pan out. Deion sucked pretty bad.

Never, ever take the fastest guy at his position who has a propensity of returning ints to the house, blocking kicks, and doing all other kind of stuff that you only see once in a decade. Terrible pick. Just awful.

Highlights from the senior bowl. That vertical leap is impressive.

looks like he can tackle to me, or at least it won't be an issue. and here's why.
1. he wraps guys up well.
2. he's fast AND quick, so its not like a one ditch attempt to tackle and then hit or miss, he stays with the guys and either makes the plays himself or slows the runner down significantly until more help arrives.

im exstatic with this pick, i really am. the doctors in the house.
