Or maybe any job after today. He could be the worst starting offensive linemen in the entire league.

And it was a joke not giving him any help all day. I mean, I understand Dee ford apparently knew the snap count and smith didn’t (I mean, how else to explain the fact that ford was at Rosen before smith even came outta his stance all day), but give the turnstile some help.

The Cardinals were doubling up against Justin Houston (helping Humphries).

The all reserve interior triangle had all they could handle slowing down the defensive tackles.

That left Smith on his own against Ford to disastrous results.

At the very least the Cardinals should have chipped Ford, but they didn't.

Correction, he never should have had the starting job. Wetzel is better than him.

Smith is trash. Wetzel a better tackle than he is. The OL is enough to fire Keim.

he should have never even been signed. He a backup for the Bengals. And not an up and coming young guy looking for his shot. He was a washed up piece of garbage who already lost his spot... on a mediocre Bengals line.

To be fair, the entire o-line stinks. As far as giving the tackles help - isn't that one of BA's legacies?
For sure. But I don’t recall anyone so consistently beating anyone like a drum the way Ford was embarrassing Smith. If ford was in the game he was in Rosen’s grill.

Not looking forward to the Rams game. If this o line can’t handle the Chiefs Defensive line, how are they going to handle the Rams now with Fowler

Yes. This. I saw one time smith got chip help and that was it. I get that Houston is a stud but Humphries is supposed to be our first round left tackle. I’d expect retread smith to need more help against a pure speed rusher than Humphries. One more negative vote against extending Humphries then.

Ford has been lights out this year but that's what's great about having two stud pass rusher. Your either gonna help on Houston or Ford it's pick your poison.

What I didn’t understand is why with Ford lined up way outside and no chip help Smith would still seemingly take a step inside at the snap before swinging outside and attempting to “block” him. What was up with that??

But but according to Steve Keims evaluation..

I've been saying for weeks Rosen needs to learn to mix up the count more and today he did, he drew several offsides doign it. I honestly wonder if that's why Smith looked so bad, he was used to the same count which made it easier for him to not think and then today Josh shook it up and Smith was flat footed all game.

He was awful, just god awful.

Smith NEVER should have had a starting job here. Even casual fans this off-season knew that Andre Smith was not a starting caliber tackle. We were all waiting for the "real" signing or draft pick at RT, thinking Andre Smith was signed to be a veteran backup. Not so, and it's time for Keim to go.

So true. Was sure he was signed as depth. What a fracking Keim that was.

(Yes I’m using “Keim” now as a noun replacement for “mistake”)
