My first love in Phoenix sports was the Suns. I had tickets for years, both in the madhouse and America West.

I became convinced last year that the Suns were in serious financial trouble and were going to focus on regaining financial health. Makes sense to secure the foundation first.

After selling for a record price, obviously the franchise has ownership who believe in the future but every management move still reeks of cash generation.

This all make no sense unless there is a contractual requirement of positive corporate cash flow to complete the terms of sale in three years. Pursuit or non-pursuit of free agents will tell us more. My gut says CAP space is not relevant and management will keep the cash.

Whatever it takes to get Brian Colangelo out fast is fine by me. I'm still angry that Colangelo's overreach for baseball resulted in the conditions that deteriorated one of the best NBA organizations - the Phoenix Suns.

Am I unfair? Maybe, but evidence is mounting.

I can't argue with that.

Hey Skorrp do you think having the D-Backs in the market have lead to a loss of revenue for the Suns or JC's attention being diverted to baseball had lead to the decline in the success of the Suns and therefore the loss in revenue?

Even JC has talked about a malaise around the team. Did the decline in intrest cause the financial problems or were there financial problems that caused a decline in the team?
