Thanks. To be honest I didn't work that hard on it. Sometimes things just come to me. I am gifted that way.[emoji1]

So do you have anything of substance to add or just a bunch of grade school quips or personal shots at me?

I have been to literally hundreds of Cardinals games. Already have my playoff tickets. It's hilarious that you guys cant address the issue you just focus personal attacks on me and the fact that I am not at this one game. I was at the game last week. Will be at the game in 2 weeks.

Whatever keeps you from facing the reality that a huge portion of our fanbase is a bunch of sell outs who dont even go to the games when we are good is really telling when we consider why this issue is happening.

Well I could point out that since you had season tickets for 15 years you should know that when they show the crowd during the games it is just a small section and often not a real sampling of what the crowd is actually like.

You should also know that when they talk about percentage of opposing fans at a game it is often skewed to support whatever point is trying to be made or by what portion of the stadium the person is able to see.

But hey. You are frustrated. I get it.

BTW I had season tickets for 15 years too. And like you I watched the game from my living room today. Probably unlike you I was at home because I was feeding my dog through a tube and consoling my wife who is in near tears because we are forced with not only thousands of dollars jn vet bills that we really dont have but also the decision on what to do with our other dog that attacked her for no apparent reason.

But I realise that those are just excuses to you and I should not have given up my seat.

See......frustration all around.

Bert all you can control is yourself! It happens in every NFL stadium when teams like the Hawks, Stealers, Cowpies, Pack & Bears come in to other stadiums. It should be less when the playoffs start, but in reality it doesn't affect us winning & losing

when I was local I had season tickets for over a decade myself. But I am no longer local.

just find it amusing you are bitching about opposing fans being at the stadium,...while you sit at home a few miles from said stadium watching the game on tv.......
whatever reason you had for not being at the game,...perhaps other fans had reasons just as important for not being there.

if there were a thousand more "You"'s...and you each took a few friends...there would be no more room at the stadium for opposing fans..at least those other fans bought tickets in the first place...or they would not have had them to sell..you didn't even buy them

I'm probably fighting both sides of this argument here, but not every Cardinals fan lives in AZ and can reasonably own season tickets. I travel for 8 games a year at minimum, most of which are home games. I wouldn't sell my tickets if I had them, which I did from the Sun Devil days - but I moved and things changed. Maybe the same happened for him?

Our general fanbase seems too ready to sell their tickets, and we're perceived as soft fans from others. That doesn't apply to everyone who sells their tickets, but we're one of the best teams in the league, and still couldn't support our team fully over the past 3 weeks. It's sad.

agreed. for whatever reason, coming down the stretch of the best season in team history and having significant numbers of opposing fans in the stand the last three games of the season is at least somewhat of an indictment on our fans.

I understand that concept as I reside in Mississippi....but I noticed his profile says Mesa, Az

which is much closer to the stadium than many fans on this board.

I know, I'm just pissed. lol I'm sorry. :bang: You are definitely right Bucky. Just frustrating.

This. As usual you said it better than I did. The fact that some fans are totally ok with this is blowing my mind.

And people need to understand. I take this so hard because I was a season ticket holder for so freaking long. Sitting in a sea of opposing teams fans. I dont have my tickets anymore but I certainly paid my dues. I always thought; 'If we could just be good, this would change. People would come around and we would have a real homefield advantage.' But that is not happening! We're fine against the Rams and the Jaguars but any team that has any kind of buzz and we make honest people out of all the haters who constantly make fun of this fan base. I just hate seeing those guys be right about our fans.

GB hardly showed. And they were not even remotely loud. Minny ALWAYS shows huge. Always have. Last week was 80% cards fans, BTW. GB's presence was not big.

This weekend nobody cared, so the bandwagon twelves paid a lot of money to watch a preseason game they won. Big whoop.
Yep, this week was 25% sea. Tix were available all week for 100, no one cared about this game, right down to the players outside of Fitz and Swearenger (sp)

Bert if you were a season ticket holder and attended every game you would see that the same seats are filled with opposing team fans every game. We are not talking 3 or 4 seats but large blocks of seats that are owned by ticket brokers. The majority of which are all on the visitor side.

The Cardinals side of the field was 95% Cardinals fans. Most Cards fans show up to the game and support this team. There is nothing we can do about the seats owned by the ticket brokers unless you decide to buy them all up for us.

I took a photo of the Cardinals side for you when I read this at half time. You can barely see any Seahawks fans on this side of the stadium.

dang I can't attach a large image and tried cropping the photo for better visuals but I hope you can see that this side of the stadium doesn't have many seats owned by the ticket brokers.

Thanks MCD that makes me feel a little better. It looked and sounded terrible on TV.

Still love this team, just wish some of the locals would show a little more support on a consistent basis. Its funny because I was at the GB game last week when there were more, but I just dont hate the Packers like I do the Seahawks. Hearing that Sea---Hawks chant over and over again in our house was making steam come out of my ears. I'm seriously way more pissed about that than I was the game itself. Just wish we could have 8 home games, but you are right, it wasn't as bad as I feared it was. It's been an emotional day, lol.

We will drown them out in 2 weeks. Go Cards.

This. Keep the faith, Bert.

As frustrating as it is.....it was worse during our Superbowl run. The Cards had trouble selling tickets for the first home play-off game. They were worried it wouldn't be televised. I bought tickets not being able to bear the thought of not seeing that game. I remember telling the guy at the post office...... he thanked me for helping make it a sell out so he could see it on TV.

We've come a long way.

Ok... I'm new to this board, but a season ticket holder since SDS... I had to jump in here... This is the most insane stance to take from a person who didn't even attend the game!

Bert, since you won't accept any excuse for a fan not attending the game or selling their tickets... what's your excuse for not buying one to 'support the team' today???

It's ok for a team (aka - guys paid to show up) to not show up, since the game doesn't matter, but it's disgusting to you to see normal 9 to 5ers not wasting their money?

Again, please share with us all how you are somehow exempt from this rule you've declared.

I don't understand why this is so hard for some of you to comprehend. The Cardinals play in ARIZONA. It's JANUARY. Does that mean anything to any of you brainiacs?? Ever wonder why the teams that have the "most loyal" fans are Green Bay, Pitt, Seattle and Minnesota???? Because it's cold as hell there. Nobody wants to travel there this time of year. Know why their fans travel with the team so much?? Because it's cold as hell there.

It really wasn't as bad as it appeared ... or sounded ... at all. Sections 125 and 124 (my old section aka scalper alley) were kinda bad, as usual. Heck, I used to walk into 124 every home game and felt like I had been transported to a different city. That part of the stadium sucks.

Plenty of Cards fans were at that game. We just didn't have much to cheer about. So you didn't hear us.

I get that you're frustrated at the way the game went, but throwing "massive amounts" of fans under the bus ... especially on this site ... because of what you perceived from TV isn't okay. Minnesota was WAY worse than today.

I still buy my pool supplies from Leslie's becuase they stepped up and bought a chunk of tickets to help ensure a black out.

yeah sometimes I hate that I sit on the East side of the stadium. There are seats around me that have a different set of people in them every game. At times I feel like I'm stuck at the airport with people from all over the country.

I'm in agreement with you Bert. It has always annoyed the hell out of me that Arizona is such a transient area. The Cardinals will need to continue to win in order to build a more native fan base. Bidwill was so close to moving the franchise from St. Louis to Baltimore, but his wife wanted to retire to a warmer climate & overruled him. Oh well. I've been an out of town fan all my life, so I'd be rooting for them even if they were in Saskatchewan

It's time to stop making excuses. Yep we've had this conversation before but this is different. This ain't the Packers who have a ton of native fans here, these are pure bandwagoners who get in because it's so easy to get tickets from our "fans." This is pathetic.

########

I needed money for Christmas

I sold one game to help pay for my playoff tickets

I sold one game to help me buy my tickets next year

I needed money to make ends meet

They are my tickets I can do what I want

It's not fans fault it's all brokers

########

Our final three home games of our BEST REGULAR SEASON EVER have been hostile takeovers by opposing teams fans.

You can only make so many excuses for our fan base. This is shameful and embarrassing. I could handle the Vikings and the Packers but these aren't Seattle transplants who have season tickets, these are bandwagoners who got tickets easily because Cardinals "fans" sold them to them. Hearing that stupid Sea Hawks chant in our stadium is infuriating. Shame on all those who sold their tickets. No more excuse. 3 weeks in a row is inexcusable. We have a weak fanbase and if I was a player it would really bum me out.

Sorry rant over, I'm off my soap box.

And you really think the fan turn out had any effect on the pathetic performance we had? It's obvious the players had mailed it in for this game. I just hope no major injuries occurred.

I've explained that in pretty good depth. I'm glad your first post was here to call me out and I assure you, this wont be the most 'insane' stance you read from anyone on this board.

I've more than done my part, I was simply calling for a few more in a town of millions to do theirs. I'm sorry, you got me, I didn't attend the game today, but if you knew me at all you would know better. Take the time to read through the thread a little before you call individuals out and attack them personally. Welcome to the board.

At the end of the day, I am over it. I think that if it doesn't bother a Cardinals fan to see entire sections of oppsing teams fans at every game, you are the insane one, but we both have our opinion. GO CARDS

Really? Why is it not ok? I cant vent my frustrations of them showing entire sections of seahawk fans on TV? Obviously it doesn't bother some as much as it bothers me but I'm not allowed to express that it bothers me JG???? I've already apologized for the frustration, but seriously how is it not ok? It has happened in our last 3 home games, I made it very clear that it wasn't just about today. I'm just tired of this happening year after year. I didn't have season tickets this year, but when I did I didn't sell mine to opposing teams fans, and certainly not for the home stretch of seasons when the team really needed home crowd supprt.

I always re-watch the game on NFL Rewind and it always surprises me that the cameras go out of their way to show the visitor's side behind their bench. Then people go bonkers about a 'take-over.'

Very misleading.

Same thing with crowd noise causing false starts. Seattle had a false start late in the game when the crowd was pretty quiet. yet, right away, they put that stat on the video board, lol

Very misleading.
