Who is McClain?

ILB for Alabama. Best at his position in the draft. He'd come in and be an immediate upgrade over Dansby at 1/2 the price and I'd love to have him, but not at the cost of Q. Boldin is the leader of this team. You don't ship our your leaders, especially when they are productive IMO.

I dont think there's a chance McClain falls to us, but I am really hoping that Brandon Spikes does. If not I'd look at Pawelek (sp?) from Baylor or maybe Sean Lee in the 2nd. I really like the kid from Baylor. Great size and fantastic coverage ability for the position (8 picks this year IIRC).

Q needs to remain a Cardinal. He is a warrior and brings attitude to this team.

Washington would be better suited to play in Hayes spot IMO. I dont think he has the coverage abilities for the WIL

Probably true. Washington looked a lot better at filling holes and stuffing runs than he did in pass coverage against Boise State.

Who is McClain?

John McClain, NYC police officer with incredibly bad timing. He goes to LA for Christmas and it's the Nakatomi building.

Then the airport hijacking and then the stealing gold bullion thing. The odds of one man being involved in 3 such cases are astronomical.

With that said, I think he'd be a pretty damn good pickup in the third round. He'd provide quality depth as a rookie and be able to step into Hayes spot when the time was right without a drop off. I am really excited about the draft this year because the only real hole that must be filled this offseason is Dansby's spot.

I think there was a fourth case too, but since it was rated PG-13 it didn't really exist :D

I actually think Washington is better in coverage then he is a tackler. He misses his fair share of tackles, especially in space and in one on one situations. If he played the WILB spot that Hayes plays he would get destroyed, he just doesn't have the junk in the trunk to play that spot.

I am really not that big of a fan of his. But I will say this, dude plays about as smart of football as any LB in college right now. He may not be able to finish the play most of the time but he is always in the right spot diagnosing the play before it even happens, always in the right hole, always in the right passing lane, always taking the right angle.

If we want to replace Dansby I am telling everyone you want to draft AJ Edds of Iowa in the 2nd or 3rd round. He is the epitome of what a 3-4 WILB should be. He is Bruschi reincarnate.

This is why I like Sean Lee or Navarro Bowman from Penn State. Both smart players and good tacklers and both can cover.

I have A.J. Edds going in the late 2nd or early 3 Round. If he is there when we pick I will be screaming at the tv for the cards to pick him.

Good call Joe.

Edds looked good the other night. But so did the whole Iowa defense.

How about some kind of Boldin for Cribbs deal. I would hate to lose Boldin, but we could sure use Cribbs. The Browns "insulted" him with a low ball offer and he says he won't play for them again.....

I woul dinsult him with a low offer as well. He still has 3 years left on his deal. No joke the guy started complaining about his deal a month after the ink was dry. Cribbs made his own bed and I have zero sympathy for him in this case.

Anyways, I would do a Boldin for Cribbs straight up deal though.

Fitz, Breaston and Doucet as our WR's and Cribbs as PR, KR and #4 WR. Now that would be awesome....

Bowman from PSU is a junior. Any indication whether he is going pro or returning for his Senior year?
