Agreed. Larry has the finesse, grace.....Q is the bull, smashing his way thru lesser men.....what a deadly duo.

Agreed.

With that being said I think the

Fitz > Q equation is flawed.

I think you are comparing apples to oranges.

Fitz is a better pure WR, but Boldin is better at doing a lot things and playing more positions than WR. Two different styles, and two different skills sets.

Both exceptional players and should not be compared to one another IMO.

Q is the standard.

He parties with women and they make babies like Fitz.

Excuse me. Maybe I was not clear.....I agreed with Shogun in that he likes both Q and Fitz, they are two entirely different players which I wholeheardly agree.....that is why they are such a threat.

Fitz and Q remind me of the excitement we had in our college team, albeit at a different position.....Reggie and LenDale - Thunder and Lightening.

No frickin way, dont make me make a poll. Fitz catches the ball and doesnt do anything else, Q does everything. I love fitz but boldin is the best player on our team.

How fortunate we are to have 2 such talented receivers on our team at the same time ... it is a rare treat ... something to remember for a long time ...

If we were talking about receiving skills only, you may be right. But when speaking of Anquan Boldin, one cannot limit the discussion to merely catching a football. The paragon of masculinity that is Anquan Boldin transcends sport.

I know what a poll would say, hell they have already been on here before. Boldin would win 2:1. IMO Fitz > Q, but it is very close. Boldin has had a case of the dropsies in the past couple years. That is the only thing that keeps him from being the best receiver in the league. (well that, and breakaway speed)

Most of Fitz's catches wont break 5 tackles and end up on Sportscenter, but that doesn't mean that they are less important, or less impressive.

By stop watch standards Boldin doesn't have breakaway speed. By football standards I can remember at least 3 times Boldin has caught the ball and beat all 11 guys on defense to the endzone. So you can say he doesn't have break away speed but he does have "take it to the house" speed.

As for the dropsies problem....I totally agree and was getting pretty frustrated about it by the end of the year.

I can only remember maybe one of those. I have seen him shed 4 tackles on his way to the endzone, but running past all 11 guys doesn't seem like Q to me.

Yeah im sure his few drops were a huge problem, they didnt keep him from getting 100 catches or making the pro bowl.

Im not worried about highlights, Q breaks records, leads the team and dominates. Fitz just catches the ball.

I honestly don't see either one of them doninating. When I think of dominating, I think of what Steve Smith has done this year, or what Holt did to us this year, or even what Santana Moss did in a game this year. It has been quite some time since we have seen a performance like that from either of our guys.

Call Fitz a possession receiver all you want, but he still has Q in the most important of catagories. Touchdowns. (24 in 3 years for Fitz, 20 in 4 years for Boldin)

If you watch cards games you know our WR's TDs have nothing to do with them, it has been our entire offense and NO ONE scores touchdowns. When we get in the redzone we throw to johnson for some reason.
