Former No. 1 pick at cornerback was always headed to safety
http://www.azcardinals.com/news/detail.php?PRKey=2454

Rolle not only is learning free safety, but also strong safety. In most nickel and dime packages, Rolle will continue to play cornerback on the slot receiver, not only allowing someone like Aaron Francisco to play at safety but also emphasizing Rolle’s talent at the spot.

After a performance like Rolle had against the Bengals last season as an inside corner (three interceptions, two for touchdowns) the Cardinals didn’t want to waste that talent. Rolle likes the idea of staying with his cornerback roots, at least part time.

I know Pendergast gets a lot of heat from some people, and rightfully so. I don't know if stopping the run is his fault, but his prevent defense is disgusting.

ANYWAY, You got to give it to the guy when it comes to some of the packages he uses.

Rolle, Wilson, Fransisco, and Dansby are used all over the field. Sometimes at corner, sometimes at safety, sometimes as WLB.

I really like hearing that we are going to keep Rolle at the NB position part time. The guy is a ball hawk there and proved it last season.

I, like a lot of people, think that Rolle is going to shine this season. Whether he wants to be a CB or not the reality is he's just a step to slow at that position and a step quicker than most safeties. Or in the case of Holt, a leap year quicker.

Let's get on record how many picks we think he'll have, I'll say 7.

I'll trust the coaching staff this year and next to get the best athletes on the squad into the best positions for the TEAM to win.
If their plan and/or methods fail, oh well, another rebuilding season.

If Antrel was drafted by a zone-heavy team, he'd have been fine. :(

Does anyone else hate these cheesy-ass puns as much as i do?

Good to see Whisenhunt taking precaution at the SS position, especially with A-Dub coming off that serious injury. I like a combo of Francisco+Rolle a hell of a lot better than Rolle+Celestine.
