I want to see more of this because that guy has a heck of an arm. He also laid the wood tonight and had a crucial INT.

Rolle seems to have found his spot at FS

I dont like him much. But he played great today. I bet he gets a fine for that hit. But how the TE held on is beyond me!

Rolle played quite a bit of offense (for a defensive player) last year. I think this was the first time I saw him last year.

DRC also had some snaps last year.

Rolle was the MVP tonight. Huge hits, big open field tackles (On both Jacobs and Bradshaw), the Wildcat, and the Int. And to top it off he gutted it out while hurt.

I don't know what happened with his tackling tonight but it was magnificent.

easily the best game i've ever seen from rolle all-around. even better, imo, than the game where he scored twice. more complete.

I actually thought he held the ball too long on that play? That's why Patrick held, if you saw the replay Fitz was completely uncovered because the safety bit, so if Rolle gets it out earlier it's a TD and no hold.

But the arm was impressive and watching Fitz blow the catch was surprising.

I like the wrinkle though.

Vegas, baby, yeah!
That was a great throw by Rolle... Fitz should have caught that ball!

Yes - the play needs some work on the timing aspect, but it was a great play called at the right time. Kudos to Rolle and Whiz for calling it.

It'll never be called again. We might see him run out of it though at some point though.

Once something like that gets on film you're usually not able to run it again.

Rolle STOOD UP Jacobs on one play that I vividly remember, hell of a game from him today. Sucks that we might not be keeping him unless we can figure out his contract, it looks like he is putting it all together.

I thought the wildcat play call was horrible, 2nd and 2, they run that, Rolle holds the ball too long, should have passed earlier, and we end up eventually with a 3rd and 29. We're good offensively without this kind of nonsense thrown in. Warner's a HoF QB, let him run the offense, not a safety.

What? That play was awesome. And now opposing DCs have to spend time preparing for it. Even if we never run it again.

Kenny W does get too cute sometimes, like the pass on 1st down with 3:52 to go but you gotta love what he brings to the AZ.

I'd love to see it again... it almost worked. That was very uncharacteristic of Fitz to not come up with that catch plus the holding penalty. It was way better than those half ass Boldin attempts in the past. I had no idea Rolle can throw such an accurate bullet.

Put it away.

Why take Warner out from behind center, and why run this tom-foolery in the middle of a huge game, and in a situation where if it had back-fired we would have been screwed.

It is fun, and different, but seriously, put it away.

It was beautiful and within a hair of working.

But I love gadgets, so I'm hardly unbiased.

LOVED the call

I'm confused by those who didn't like the call:shrug: Play calling is a game of chess, we outsmarted the defense and simply didn't execute. Excellent call, poor execution.

They play call, had it worked would have put our cleats firmly on their throats. I agree, Rolle held the ball too long, and under threw it. I LOVE deep call on 2nd and short. It was the hold, and the chop on the next play that ruined the drive, not the call. Keep that stuff coming!

Whisenhunt usually has one of these special plays per game. When they work he is a genius, when they don't we jump on him. I like his creativity. It makes it more difficult for opposing team's defenses to plan against us.

Gadget plays, especially when it's a defensive player on offense, builds team chemestry.

I loved the call, and thought it was the perfect time to use it.

My main problem was that I thought the team started celebrating a "sure" victory at that specific point in the game. (we went on to have several mental lapses from that point forward) It nearly cost us the game.

60 minutes guys, 60 minutes. You'd think we'd learn - I'm elated over the win though.

Go Cards!!!

I called this one.

Rolle has an absolute cannon for an arm. He can throw the ball further than anyone on our roster. The timing of the playcall was absolutely perfect. However, I'm not sure if it will ever work again.

It's on film now, so in the future DBs will chase Fitz down the field which should open up the run on that side.
