I am going to try to make it to the St. Louis game. The last I went to watch them in St. Louis they went to the Super Bowl. That was when Waynecard and Arizona Elvis got a bunch of tickets for the board.

Wayne also gave us all a bunch of cards gear at that game. That was an awesome tailgate as well, and we kicked their behind too. In fact that was awesome year, we went to the game in St Louis, the playoff run to Carolina, back to Phoenix for the NFC championship game, and then off to the super bowl in Tampa. Looking back it was an expensive year.

I did not know that he had passed, RIP brother he was a real hard core fan, and he'll be missed. We seen him at several games and he was usually with "Antrons" :D parents, also some very nice folks.

I would love to go to New Orleans. It's one place that I have never been that I would really like to visit.

I just don't know if we're going to be able to make it. In fact, it's doubtful. I hope to make the game in Tampa and, if everything works out, Jacksonville. Not very likely to make a game out in Arizona either. But......you never know.

This looks like it's going to be a fun season to watch. Even if the Cards struggle to win games, I think they will be entertaining, which can't be said for the last couple years.

It just dawned on me.

2008 season

St Louis with CBUS win

Playoffs

Carolina with CBUS win

NFC Championship game with CBUS win

and you guessed it suiper bowl no CBUS and we lost.
I am not bringing your favorite cigar to the next game ... :D

St. Louis which for me is not really a road game but also to New Orleans.

Maybe a trip to Jacksonville but have a grandchild being born around that time so I have to wait and see.

I went to the playoff game against the Saints. Except for maybe a couple goof-balls, everyone treated me very well. I had people go out of their way thank me for coming because they really need our tourist dollars to help rebuild the city after Katrina. Not a soul gave me any trouble in the stadium. Got to meet up with Zeno, DiehardCardfan and a couple more whose names escape me the moment. Other than the outcome of the game, it was a great trip.

I was at the game in New Orleans also. For every Saints fan who gave me grief there were dozens saying thanks for visiting their city.

For sure, I still have your phone number. Where you staying and what day you coming in? We are staying at The Omni in the French Quarter, right off Bourbon Street. We'll be there Friday afternoon.

We are driving down from St. Louis that Friday morning. Staying at the Courtyard on St Charles Avenue on block from the French Quarter.

Looks can be deceiving. Was there for the Super Bowl and spent three weeks in Tampa last year living close to the stadium. I wouldn't call it close to the beach.

Yep. The bay is pretty swampy. The closest beach is Clearwater. Just a little over 20 miles.

Honeymoon Island is just a little north of there, just as nice and not as crowded.

I did notice it looks swampy on sattelite view. Im sure I can get to one within 30 minutes though? Figure maybe arrive at the beach around 9am, hang out till 11ish and head to the game.

Ill look at the noted spots on a map tonight.

I been to a few games in San Fransico but I won't go this year. That stadium is garbage and the crowd has gone from respectable to down right thuggish.

Did you ever have any bad experiences with opposing fans over the years (especially when your boy was young)? I have thought about taking my son to away games when he gets a bit older but always worry about some ******* opposing teams fan ruining the day

Hey BCF, I grew up as a military brat. My father was army. We moved a lot but he was stationed so we lived in Sandia Base. Hawaii is home but once you're a brat you feel the need to keep moving, at least I do. But I have great memories of ALBQ. And nobody beats the food. Just wanted to touch base. Thanks

Oh yeah, I lived in Yuma and worked at Yuma Proving Ground for over 5 years as well and that's my connection to the Cards. I was there when they moved to AZ and have followed them since.

OK, carry on.

Seattle. I had a good time there and the Seahawks fans were loud and proud but not jerks. The last 2 games I went to in SF were awful. The SF fans were rude, thuggish, and down right insulting. Plus Candlestick is a garbage stadium.

And San Fran smells like urine.

Just looking at some of the replies to your question, has segregation ever been used or even considered in the NFL. Even if it was just one or two blocks that are only available for away fans.

For what its worth I love the fact that the NFL doesnt do this as i think it only premotes a certain mentality in some fans. There is also the issue of travel to and from the Stadium.

Only plus side would be that you would be amongst like minded fans and if as has been mentioend, you wanted to take your little one to a raod game you know you would be 'safe'.

Over here I can think of football ground in the country that you could were your away colours in a home end without getting a clip. Sad but true.
