In the back dozen or so pages of this week's ESPN the Magazine (published on Earth the Planet in America the Country), there's a little piece where someone asked Dockett what he would say to someone who said that the Cards are never going to be good.

What occurred would not have been appropriate for younger readers. I like Dockett, and think he's a productive player for this team and a core talent. But he needs to keep his damn mouth shut. Someone in Cards PR should put a muzzle on the guy, because he wasn't doing the franchise any favors.

I'm interested if anyone else had read the piece. If there's interest, I'll transcribe it hear. I can't believe that the folks at Cards HQ are happy about it.

LOVE every @#$&^= word of it... and if any wuss from the PR dept has a word to say... Dockett should @#$^* his butt!!!

Damn. Next season can't get here soon enough. I love the passion, love the attitude. Take that anger and pride and put it on the field, just please stop with the stupid penalties. They're killing us!

Show the guy some tape of the Patriots so he knows how to act when, or if, the Cardinals start to have some winning seasons. Right now, he ain't ready for the spot light.

Love the attitude, hate the verbal expression of it.

In the current egg shell society we live in this is unexceptable. And yes, he should learn how to be "professional".

Now personally I love it! He didn't pull any punches, he didn't read from the script in his head. He was himself and answered with heart and emotion.

It is not are great PR move but for those who are not easily offended it shows some heart, and determination to say the least.

It's nice that we have good players who are proud to be Cardinals instead of some of the mercenaries we've had in the past who were only picking up a paycheck.

He plays with a passion that I hope infects the whole team. All he needs to do harness it enough to avoid stupid penalties. I have no problem with his "rant".

 I'm not hating on Darnell. I said multiple times that I like the player.

But, as I'm sure everyone is tired of hearing from the Pats, well done is better than well said. I'm sure that the Panthers and 49ers and Falcons and the other teams who put up season-best numbers against the Cards probably were laughing at Darnell's quote.

Dockett went 7 straight games without a sack after a torrid start to the season. Along with that he collected numerous stupid penalties that kept drive alive. I'm all for Dockett's passion for the game, but he needs to be productive all season long and not hurt the team while he's doing it.

He was ASKED (and I'm sure it was in a smug condescending way) and showed his firey emotions, great job! I only wish every single player had his passion on this team.
