Aquinas is two wins away from its first New York state title in girls basketball.
The Lil Irish take on Section IX's Warwick in the NYSPHSAA Class AA semifinals on Saturday. Aquinas, the Section V champion, is riding a 20-game win streak.
This year marks Aquinas' second straight trip to the state tournament. The Lil Irish reached the Class A semifinals in 2024, but bowed out to eventual state champion Catholic Central.
Tip off is scheduled for 11:45 a.m. Saturday.
The state tournament is held at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy.
