Are there still people drinking the Skelton kool-aid?

After watching Skelton play against a good defense, you can see he will never be a starting qb in the NFL. This has to be one of the worst outtings by a Cardinal qb and that is saying much. Nick Foles would do better.

While I would admit I've never been a Skelton fan, it's just one bad game this season. Given their record, I'd be willing to give him more time.

Ok... Maybe I was a little harsh... But he looked wretched today. Give me Kolb instead.

The Cardinals offense hasn't looked capable vs SF since the year we went to the Super Bowl. They've completely owned us for what is about to be the 3rd straight season. Today we have just looked inept in outstanding fashion, mainly due to the play of Skelton. Absolutely horrendous game.

Yeah, McCown isn't cutting it. Let's go back to Blake. Although, Shaun King didn't look too bad today when he got a chance to play.

I've been there all along...I still believe Kolbs more talented. Can Kolb get it us to our ultimate goal? I doubt it, but we all know this team will not draft another QB next year!!!

Skelton is pathetic. Totally exposed today.

I think the first half was the worst half of offensive football I have ever seen in my life. I think we ran for about 28 yds and threw for about 25 yards. I would think that would be some sort of record for the Cards. Add to that the fumbles, interceptions, etc and that is about as bad as it can get. I did not drink the Skelton coolaid I only said in those last two games he looked like a possibility of an NFL QB. I fear we have no QB on this team PERIOD.

The announcer said we signed Kolb to a large contact and we had to make up our mind this year sort of indicating we had some sort of escape clause this first year. Any truth to that???

I thought our defense in the first half played great considering they were on the field most of the half.

Who is going to play QB for the rest of the year. Who is going to play QB next year. I suspect Kolb will be back in there when he is well. Those two wins will turn out to be the worst thing that could happen to us. We will move up in the draft. I guess I come back to my same old thought: As long as the Bidwills own this team we will only by accident ever be any good.

Whatever Kolb hasn't looked that bad on his worst day! You simply were duped into believing that Skelton was good because we won 2 games against bad teams. You saw today what he is an inaccurate young QB who makes bad decisions and can't read a D. Most of the interceptions are balls that should never have been thrown!

Kolb has a roster bonus that we have to decide to pick up or not

Every QB has had some "stinker" games, especially young ones. That is one of the top D's in the entire league. What did you expect? I still think he is the best QB on our roster. That might not be saying much, but it is what it is.

Agreed. Skelton is not good. But Kolb lacks to tools to even become good.

They all suck. And we wont take a 1st round QB this year...

Its a pretty depressing QB situation.

Did you see the Minnesota game? I was there and he did look that bad, against a heck of lot worse defense then we saw today.

I have so many things I want to say to you but you just wont listen.

Kolb is not as bad as you think he is. Our O-Line though..... is the worst in the NFL.

I don't think we should give up on either guy yet. They are both young and will have their ups and downs.. today was a major down for Skelton, no doubt.

I still think you need to play the guy you went out and invested a lot in to be the guy for the future, but I think you still spend time developing Skelton as the backup. I don't think we've seen the best out of either guy yet.

Our O-Line is not as bad as you think they are. They actually protected Skelton pretty well today, and Skelton played a horrendous game.

Kolb fled strong pockets on a regular basis, even when the pocket broke down he routinely had space to move forward and instead did the opposite.

And not even considering pocket poise, what does Kolb do well...

That question has been asked many times in these debates and I have yet to hear an answer as to what Kolb's "plus" skills are. I hear a lot of ripping on the line, our receivers and our other options at QB (and I freely admit none of them are enticing) but I virtually never hear someone mention a "strength" of Kolb's.

Skelton's play today reflected his play in 6 of the past 8 quarters of football that he has played, and not the 2 quarters that made most folks on this board petition for him.

Skelton is who I thought he was. Not saying that he can't get better, but Kolb has shown me more consistent QB play than Skelton has. Yes, I understand that Skelton had 2 good quarters and won 2 games and Kolb has underwhelmed. However, I have yet to see Kolb get the bounces Skelton has or Skelton show quality play over a full game. Our defense played well enough for us to win today, and Skelton did not answer the bell.

Kolb plays when he is healthy.

I wonder how many blitzes the Niners ran today? All I remember is 4 man rushes and everyone else waiting to play catch with Johnny boy.

It's easy to block 4 when you have 5 or 6 blocking them.

Oh, so the excuse for Kolb is that he is constantly facing a blitz but cant ever find an open receiver?

Interesting.

And I notice there still is no mention of what Kolb's strengths are.
