Are there still people drinking the Skelton kool-aid?

I will not argue that JS locks on to one reciever all too often. But, with the way our o-line blocks that may be all the time our QBs have. Both KK and JS seem to do this and it could be a lack of confidence in our line to give them time to read the field.

I see a lot of posts in here about how bad our Oline is. I believe they played a very good game yesterday. The run blocking wasn't so great, but the pass blocking was excellent. There were a number of plays where Skelton had all the time in the world to throw the ball. I don't remember very many of those moments this year in any of our other games. As far as pass blocking was concerned, I think this was the Oline's best game of the year.

I beg to differ with you. When a receiver can get both hands on the ball he should catch it. That goes for Fitz and Roberts both.

that doesn't mean it's not a bad decision though.

A very high % of INT's are tipped balls, that's not a coincidence it's a violent sport WR's get lit up and high throws often get tipped.

Guys coming into the NFL have to adjust to that. Look at the one that Housler didn't catch, if he does catch that he might be carried off the field unconcscious, led him right into a safety coming full speed, there were 3 guys around the ball. Housler appeared to short arm it a bit but that's something guys have to learn in the NFL. WR's and TE's learn to hang tough you will usually get hit even if you drop it, QB's learn not to hang their teammates out to dry.

I agree with you 40, they hae played much better the last three weeks or so. My point was the confidence level our QB's have in them. I think that JS has more confindence in them than does KK.

Skelton stands in the pocket strong and is able to shake guys almost like Roethlisberger (not comparing). Kolb runs backwards and panics, looking like a guy who sucks at Madden. Give me Skelton.

I'm starting to come around a Skelton. His football IQ still worries me and his accuracy is frightening at times, but he's he's made a ton of progress since last season. His toughness is also hard to ignore. I think he'll stick around the league for a while as a backup, if nothing else. That's pretty solid for a fifth rounder from Fordham.

Because Kolb has been a model of consistency and poise? C'mon.

If it's a question between Skelton and the best two-thirds of the quarterbacks in the NFL, I'll take the legit starters. If it's Skelton versus Kolb? I'll take Skelton.

We're winning with Skelton and he obviously has the respect of his team. Is it because he's such an accomplished QB. I doubt it. It's because he's got the nads and wants to play. The team looks at Kolb and see that he's trying to stay out of games. Watch. At the end of the season compare both of their stats. I'll take Skelton just based on this. And he can only get better. Try to force Kolb back in there next season and forget about it. We're back to square freaking one.

Just like Tebow vs Orton. It's being proven more and more that the most important aspect of a QB is leadership qualities. With a guy who has no leadership and is technically solid like Kolb, you'll never go anywhere. With a leader who's pretty raw like Skelton, you'll compete but unlikely to win anything big come playoff time. With a guy like Peyton or Brees who has both, you're set.
