THIS ONE IS FOR YOU KOC. TIM WE DID IT.
How is being medically unable to go the same as coming up with $50 to support your home team?

Imaging I lived in Phoenix I could easily go no frills and just buy the ticket to go to the game. Carpool for the parking or get dropped off. Smuggle in some snacks or eat before hand and go without treats. No souveniers, etc. Even broke, I could get to the game and would make a point of it.

With all of the other things the Cardinals face in terms of a negative stigma, having empty seats at a playoff game would be worse than anything the Bidwills or players have ever done.

I wasnt talking about your medical condition.. I was referring to this line -

and I don't particularly enjoy going to live games in general for another. Also, I have to work every Saturday night so it makes it unfeasable to make the trip time-wise as well as monetarily.

It would be 100 dollars min. Me and the wife. I just cant grab a backpack full of snacks and hitch to the game by myself. LOL The reason im so strapped is I am a victim of ID theft. well the IRS just cleaned out my accounts and my paycheck cause 2 different illegals are using my SS number and made over 120k last year.

You have all these excuses for not going to the game but criticize people for not paying for TWO games one of which will never happen and not be refunded if they don't renew their seats?

That's funny that you say that fans would not get the NFC Championship game refunded unless they renew their tickets because if you ask the Cardinals they will tell you that they will gladly refund the money if you ask.

Playoff packages for some people were close to 1k. Single game tickets for this game are way less. I hope the die hards that couldn't afford the playoff package find a way to go to this game. 100% I hope you go man, this game is for guys like you that have persevered through the tough times but I understand if it can't happen.

You only had to pay for 2 games if you are a STH. If the Cards do not play these 2 games, you can ask for a refund and receive the difference. You do not have to renew to get your money back.

I just spent 3 hours on the phone with the IRS. Finally they released the levy!! I was so happy!! Until I just talked to my payroll department who already cut them a check and then my bank who cant do anything about them putting their hands in my cookie jar. Im sure Ill find a way Dustin, I always do.......

If I lived in Arizona or closer than I do, I'd be there for sure......with every home season game.

However, seeing as how I live 1 hour from Toronto, without a passport, things would be rather difficult right now.......and the cheapest package at travelocity for me is $1000CDN

Trust me you are not the problem. We local fans are. As previously stated we are a State of transplants. The economy sucks. It is Christmas time etc etc etc. All valid reasons.

Truth be told, I should not have forked out the big bucks for this playoff game/s either. My wife is pissed. But I am in my 50s and it has been 60+ years since the Cardinals hosted a playoff game. I'm pretty good with math and decided I had to buy them.

Sure we could host another playoff game next year, or the year after or sometime in the near future and I could catch that one. That's exactly what the Cardinals' fans said in 1947. Where are they now? I'm not taking any chances.

We all have to do what we have to do. It is what it is. (Enough with the cliches) Peace

I was about to post the same thing. I'm in Albq, have season tickets and I fly/drive in to support the team when I can, including this weekend. Bakersfield is about the same distance as me, so what's the excuse?

I am with you. I live in Vegas, have season tickets (end up eating , giving away, or selling them half the time) and drive or fly down when I can. It isnt easy or cheap and right now it is hard for me to afford it.

In fact, I gave up my playoff tickets coz it was gonna run me $600 that I just dont have. It kills me b/c I want to be there for the first home playoff game, but it doesnt make sense to me financially. Too expensive. If anyone has a pair on the cheap, let me know.

Dont be so quick to judge if you dont even have season tickets yourself. Especially if you live as close as Cali.

I hate our market. No offense to anyone thats cash strapped whatever. You all know your situation. This thing should have taken care of itself, bad economy or no. This could only happen in the fair weather, brimming with transplant losers, Valley of the Sun. Whatever. I don't even know why I let it bother me anymore. Our market is the worst. Some things never change. You hope that they will, but they never really do.

The game will sell out. I have a friend whose whole family bought about 10 tickets today. i think a lot of the fans who don't have season tickets will be at this game. I seriously think a lot of season ticket holders are not aware thart they can pick up this game for nearly face value of a regular season game. It is what it is. You are right about AZ Viper. The only thing that would temporarily change it is a championship, and that would only effect the next season.

I hope you are right that people will come in and take care of this. People for years said "no more excuses for this team" and they were right. Now there are no more excuses for this community to fail to step up and support this team. Hopefully they'll come out. Its time for these people to show some pride. You and I and the other diehards can't keep carrying these people.

When they are at home, I still mute the TV, because it still sounds like a road game.

I have no idea what games you are listening too. I go to ever game and it is loud with Cardinals fans, VERY loud.

Maybe you are letting your mood color you view ?

UoP is very loud.

Meanwhile the money is out of the bank account, right? I payed but alot of people couldn't come up with the $200 per seat (at least) right before Christmas.

I am letting people know though that they only have to pay for this game if they call the office but there are two things that are kind of pissing me off about this -
  1. Who are we to decide what people can afford in these hard times?
  2. Some of the people bitching aren't even paying for tickets.
  3. This isn't a bitch - props to cardsfanmd for making the trip. Same to you Albuquerque and Vegas folks.

I'm in, got the single game tickets for 60 something each.

This will be sold out in a day or so, then this thread can die a slow, horrible death.

I just hope the place is loud and makes it difficult for the Falcons to operate.

Exactly. That's why the game wasn't sold out right away. My bill was over $850. I can see why people didn't pay. Now that the price is within reason it appears the seats are selling.

As for getting an actual refund how many fans know that? The Car*s only tell you up front that the unused money will be applied to your season ticket renewal next year. The only way I knew about a possible refund instead of a credit was from reading ASFN.

It said it right on the letter that came with the invoice.

Here and there it gets loud, but for the most part it is a quiet crowd and this isn't a secret. Hell, from what I have heard the organization and stadium security encourage it.

You couldn't be more wrong...
So whatever TV broadcast team that is covering the Card's game just always happens to play the field noise at a lower level than they do when they are covering other games? Gimme a break.

I understand you guys in AZ like and take pride in your homestate, but praising the majority of the fans in AZ is like praising the team from '89 until '07. Maybe if a better product had been put on the field over the last ten years things would be different, but it wasn't and they aren't. The hometown fans are weak for the most part. Most on this board readily admit that.

Find an out-of-stater who feels the same way as you and I may begin to change my mind.

Ugghhhh... thought by now I've made this clear to just about the entire board here... :bang:

AZ is most certainly not my "home state"... I've only been here for 8 years. Spent the first 37 years of my life going to Yankee, Knick, Jets and Giants games. Please don't tell me about "loud" fans. I know loud fans like you will never know...

And I couldn't care less what UoP sounds like on TV. I can attest to the noise level there and IMO, it can often rival any other venue I have ever been to.

I believe I more than qualify for an "out-of-stater"... Start changing your mind...

UoP is very loud.

I am a charter NFL Ticket guy, so I've been watching every Cardinal game since around 1998. SDS was a home game for too many visiting teams. Granted, UoP is a far better home field advantage, BUT only if they are winning. The Viking fans definitely were louder than Cardinal fans & Giants fans held their own also. THAT NEEDS TO STOP. That doesn't happen in 90-95% of the stadiums in the NFL. If the Cardinals are to become a bonafide franchise, they need to stop the access of tickets to visiting teams fans. It may sound loud to you since you're there, but it doesn't sound that way on TV.

Not in the email I received. Nowhere was there any mention of getting a refund. Only a credit toward next year's renewal.

They didn't mail you an invoice? Either way, it would have been a good idea to ask the question. I have been through this process multiple times ,althought they missed the playoffs each time, and the process hasn't changed. I can't blame you for missing that. It's not like the process of purchasing playoffs tickets has been a regular event in AZ.
