I haven't seen it yet but it sounds like it's been getting a thumbs up from everyone here. Anyone have any idea why it's bombing? I haven't really heard much on it one way or another. It's going be a lucky to hit $50m after it's 2nd weekend though which is a big oof for a movie with a $200m production budget.

It's many things at once and I don't think people dig that. The plot is simple and convoluted all at the same time.

You think it's over and it's not over.

I also think the trailer is a big misdirection. Dua Lipa is barely in the movie. Henry Cavill is not central to the plot at all.

The cat is a really just a gag and not featured like in the trailer

So bad marketing. From what you said I get a feel it's similar to something like Jojo Rabbit or Fight Club where the trailers didn't do the actual movie justice.
