  • Hope that Mendenhall can play the first quarter
  • Wants to see the tackles compete with the crowd noise
  • Wants to see how the corners compete against a good QB, under the lights
  • About Robert Gill, said he doesn't remember his name "he needs to get out there"
  • Ellington has a stiff neck and headache, will follow concussion protocol and see if he can play friday

From Carson Palmers press conference:

  • Jerraud Powers has blown him away
  • Very fast efficient training camp. Vets respect that. Not much standing around.
  • First training camp he has experienced where there is no group stretching in beginning. Again, less wasted time.
  • Mendenhall knows the offense inside and out
  • Excited to see Tyrann play, he's had an excellent camp along with Rashard Johnson
  • Larry hasn't been in an offense like this, doesn't know what to predict (sounded to be in a positive way)

NFL Team propaganda. First Levi is elite, then say the new coach won't "let people stand around as much." Blahblahblah

Well in Carson's defense this is in comparison to his camps with Oakland and Cincinnati. So it is quite possible that he has seen less standing around than what he is used to seeing.

Yep everytime a new coach gets hired they say that, more efficient practice, nobody standing around. it's one of the sports cliches like how every athlete who has a younger brother they say the younger brother is "even better than I was at the same age." Or in college basketball every redshirt transfer that practiced with the team last year "he was the best player on our team last year while redshirting."

That said I wouldn't be surprised if Arians ran practices well he seems like the right type of coach to do that

i read that somewhere but seems more of motivation
Wait isn't that the type of thing Whiz used to do that killed players' confidence?

Always fun to watch and listen to people trying to understand all that is happening and being said by coaches and players during camp and preseason, when 99% of it means crappola...
For me - nothing being said holds any meaning at all at this point in the season. The real stuff is being said and decided upon behind closed doors and so, I'll get interested when the bullets are live and the W's and L's actually mean something... Until then, you might as well go to a Taro Card reader and ask her what Ariens, or Palmer, or Wolfley, or anyone else "really means"...
Or, try Mitch and save the $$... :)

Some of you act like those of us "excited" or "enthused"--or whatever word you want to use--you act like we can't control ourselves. Like we've never seen the Cardinals sucktitude, never been disappointed, as if there really is a huge koolaid bong we pass around to get drunk on.

The truth is after last years pathetic team (you can throw in the two years prior to that if you like), when people were screaming for changes from the coach to the GM, after it became obvious that staff couldn't judge QB's or lineman, after all that, after they fire the coach, the entire staff, and half the team--after all that we're not allowed to be enthusiastic about the regime change that probably 80% of the posters on here were calling for?

That's ridiculous. I choose to be enthusiastic. So do others. It's a choice, not any sort of ignorance or koolaid bongage. And even so, even some of the most enthusiastic among us (myself included) don't expect more wins to come immediately. All I'm asking for is some basic competence in year 1.
