Some of you act like those of us "excited" or "enthused"--or whatever word you want to use--you act like we can't control ourselves. Like we've never seen the Cardinals sucktitude, never been disappointed, as if there really is a huge koolaid bong we pass around to get drunk on.

The truth is after last years pathetic team (you can throw in the two years prior to that if you like), when people were screaming for changes from the coach to the GM, after it became obvious that staff couldn't judge QB's or lineman, after all that, after they fire the coach, the entire staff, and half the team--after all that we're not allowed to be enthusiastic about the regime change that probably 80% of the posters on here were calling for?

That's ridiculous. I choose to be enthusiastic. So do others. It's a choice, not any sort of ignorance or koolaid bongage. And even so, even some of the most enthusiastic among us (myself included) don't expect more wins to come immediately. All I'm asking for is some basic competence in year 1.

Bravo

Well said Darkside , though my own opinion is that we have a HC that is going to pry out of these players every ounce of talent they have , and we are going to win sooner rather than later . I am very confident for this season , and refuse to concede the Div. Title to any of the other three .

I personally don't begrudge anyone for being enthusiastic. I just have had that ball pulled away so many times with this team(since 1967) I truly feel like Charlie Brown. I will be rooting for them as hard as anyone but I don't get my hopes up that easily anymore.

I know what you mean. I still get my hopes up as it makes the offseason a bit more enjoyable but the bubble pops a lot easier these days. The last couple of seasons my hopes were dashed by the second preseason game. It used to take until about week 6 of the regular season before I would throw in the towel.

Wasn't at all commenting about being enthusiastic. I'm excited too!
My post was squarely directed toward those who attempt, fruitless as it is, to read tea leaves...
I find it funny... But of course, it's a choice...

Go ahead and be enthusiastic. I am a darksider now, but a part of me will always go koolaid leading up to gameday only to be disappointed later.

Circle of Life.

It helps to have a plan. And it's nice to know the Cards will help you follow that plan year in, year out.

The game last night just added strength to my thoughts on Bruce Arians , I took note of how much better prepared the Card's looked compared to the Pack . I believe that time and games are going to bare out that we have a GREAT Head Coach !! Thank you SK , thank you very much .
