It's funny how all of us experts here labored the thought of our LB situation, the need of another CB and how we needed a pass rusher as this season approached.

And then we start the season 3-0 in a dominating fashion that none of us have ever witnessed.

With hindsight always being 20/20 we can now see Arians genius.

In the 2015 NFL it has certainly become a passing league. And again most of us "experts" KNOW how it should be dealt with. Except maybe we DON"T know how to deal with it.

The flock, the No Fly Zone or whatever you want to call our defensive backfield is nothing short of genius. It is so innovative one has to wonder why it hasn't been thought of before. It is so simple. Flood the area with db's to buy time for our "inadequate" pass rush to get pressure.

Kaspernick was totally befuddled and so will many other QB's and offensive coordinators until they figure out the way to beat it is running the ball...except our linemen and LB's are pretty darn good at stopping the run. Add in some blitz's from our db's and it becomes a lethal style of defense.

Now add an offense that holds the pedal down for 60 minutes and BLAMMO...you have a Super Bowl contending team.

TGFA....Thank God for Arians!

Every time I start to let doubt about BA creep into my mind then BLAM, we get a start to the season like this and a trouncing of the 9ers.

I'm stunned ANYONE had any doubt about BA going into this season.

Since the day he became stand-in coach in Indy he has showed himself to be a winner . Coach of the year two of the last three (should have been all three) seasons . I continue to state that BA is the best Head Coach in the NFL .

The creeping doubt I have/had was that he is so arrogant (Yes he has earned the right to be so) that he may have made a mistake with the Bettcher promotion.

I wasn't on a soap box saying that BA was an idiot because he promoted an idiot to DC. I had some doubt creeping in that it wasn't a good move.

Any long time Cards fan has some doubt at times about our team, and quite frankly I'm a glass half full guy most of the time.

dude... just think about what we did last season. No Palmer for 10 games, no Washington for 16 games, no Ellington for 5 games, Peterson looking really suspect for 16 games, Honey Badger never looking like Honey Badger... and we won...

11 GAMES!

The guy is a great head coach.

yeah, that post wasn't written to call you out or anything.

I just have to give Arians the benefit of the doubt on... well... anything at this point. Last season made me a full believer. The guy is one of the top 5 coaches in football and the only reason I don't put him higher is because he's yet to win a playoff game. That'll change this season.

Okay I give up.

I've been on the BA is awesome bus for like forever. I guess I'm not explaining myself well enough.

Your only fail in explaining yourself was saying "Every time I start to let doubt about BA creep into my mind". When you never actually doubted BA, but only some of his decisions. When you are the head coach of an NFL team people are going to question or doubt some of your decisions no matter how good your team is. I have questioned some of his decisions even this year and thankfully I seem to be getting proven wrong.

Thank you, that does clear up what I was trying to say.

I wasn't sure about Bettcher when BA promoted him. He sure seems to be learning as he goes and makes good adjustments at halftime

Is he the best coach in AZ history (duh)? How about in franchise history?

i WANT to say yes, but until he wins a division and gets us to a Super Bowl, I can't give it to him over Wiz. But definitely happy he's here now and Wiz ain't.

When Whiz proves he can win without a hall of fame QB I will consider him over BA.

that HOF QB was considered completely washed up and an after thought for half a decade before he started playing with Wiz.

And good on Whiz for taking a chance on him and also good on Whiz for having an offense that Kurt could thrive in, but a lot of his success was having very good receivers and an ability to get the ball out quickly. BA took a team last year that was without its starting QB for 10 games (11 including playoffs), had it's backup QB miss 2 games and a plethora of injuries to a ton of key players on both sides of the ball. All of that and they still won 11 games and were somehow in their game in Carolina in the playoffs despite playing Lindley.

still hasn't proven he can win the playoffs though. That's another level, so as much as I love Arians, I can't give him to the nod over a guy who coached a team that had been awful FOREVER, winning three playoffs games to vault into the Super Bowl and then win another playoff game the next season as well.

we've yet to see how Arians handles the playoff pressure. That's a whole other ball game. You never know what coaches do when that noose tightens. Some great coaches fold, some get even better. We don't know with Arians yet. That's the only reason he's behind Wiz at this point for me. I think he'll be as good, if not better, but he's got to get to that promised land first.

I am not one of the people that believe that Whiz had nothing to do with the success in 2008/09 and that it was all Kurt. That being said I believe Kurt was the biggest reason that team had that success. BA has been the head coach for only 2 play-off games. One was a loss with a rookie Andre Luck against the eventual champion Ravens and the other one was last year with Lindley as his starter. If he has a healthy Palmer all year this year than I am certain that he will taste some post season success this year.

BA is probably talking for himself too when he tells the team they haven't done squat yet. He knows playoff wins are what it's all about and the Cards don't have any under his tenure yet either.
