They're probably just misreporting that news from the other day on ArizonaSports.com.

Todd Bowles isn't even available. The guy is still employed by the Eagles.

Lets wait until the guy actually gets fired before bringing these rumors back up.

KTAR was talking about it too- I like Horton but must support Bruce Arians as HC- I'm sure Horton cares and has done well- I'm not sure he is the only one that could with this group of players- I'm not sure a seasoned DC could not do better- I have love for Horton- But I was cautious about in Whiz we trust too!

Horton is a great DC- but Rob Ryan may be equal or better? We'll see.

There may be another DC that is Horton's quality, sure.

Based on production ? Rob Ryan is not that guy.

Yuchh! Rotoworld again. Please! News. (Not opinion posing as news).

It's been dead-wrong far too much of the time.

If you question one source, then question them all. Especially with the mountain of information that passed through here in the last 3 days.

The truth will come out sooner rather than later.

I hope it is BS concerning Horton. Cause I think Arians and Horton would be at the very least competitive next season.

But, where there is smoke there is fire. Gotta at least give some thought into the fact the Cardinals angered an asset (yet again) while trying to conduct normal NFL business. That HAS TO stop.

I have never heard of an organization angering a current employee while finding a coach. To do so is just a screw up, and a very public one at that.

If Arians their guy, and they didn't care what it took, then OK, but it is an unneeded risk.

All that said, now that Arians is the guy....let him work with Keim and do what he does best.

Want something positive ? Guy has been at it for 25 years. Longer than Bidwill, longer than Keim, and longer than Horton. He should/will be able to find some good assistants, and I will be OK if I have NO IDEA who they are, cause he will.

Seattle 58 Cards 0 ....how great is Horton?

I think a coach should be judged based on one game, it's so much more telling than the 31 other games he coached. He may not be the second coming of DC's but whittling him down based on the Seattle game is unreasonable.

Ridiculous.

Can I base you as a person on your worst day ?

15 out of 16 weeks that defense came to play. They one three games all by themselves, and could have one at least 2 more if the offense didn't just give away points without the chance to defend them.

Not to mention after losing 9 straight and getting blown out 58-0 that defense came back and practically won the next game versus the offensive powerhouse that is the Lions.

Look at the stats, look at the standings in the defensive rankings, the turnovers, the big plays, the passion from the players, the motivation no matter the score, the record, and the time of year.

Look at the QB ratings of some of the best QB's in the league.

Pretty darn great, and IMO, to say otherwise is to force a point.

It is a HUGE chance to risk that production, and that asset, but if Arians is the guy, then he is the guy.

But, the Cardinals don't get a free pass. No propaganda hides what Horton's defense did. That is in the books.

And there is no need to hide it. The Cardinals needed an Head coach, they needed to change the offense. If Horton kept his defense the way it was, even if it improved, if the offense didn't get better they are 6-10 at best again.

Had to do something, could it have been done without pissing off the current defensive coordinator ? Yeah. Just like every other organization is able to, but the damage is done, it is what it is.

All there is not is too see what happens, and if Arians can live up to his rep.

So, after the Te'o thing, I know it might be too much to expect, but did anyone, you know, ask Arians what he was planning to do?
