Jesus... 7 point lead with 2:30 left and it disappears in the blink of an eye.

Come the F on!

Trier shot them into the lead and then shot Xavier back in with those 2 quick jumpers. Now he'll hit the game winner

Why does Arizona take the shot clock down to zero and then have to rush a shot every time ??

Terrible coaching down the stretch. Reiterates what I said . . . Miller coaches great d, recruits well, but doesn't put his team in a position to win by being a terrible X's and O's guy.

Granted not a single player stepped up, but I place this blame 100% on Miller. Choke.

What a horrible last shot. Miller is a terrible in-game coach. Horrible. And a choker at that. Great recruiter, but that's it.

Some of he worst coaching I've seen from an Arizona team in the final 5 minutes of a game.

Arizona had their best chance for the championship since 1997, and the road to this one could arguably be even easier than that one was.

the next big game Sean Miller wins will be his first.

That was pathetic.

I honestly cannot say it enough. Sooooooo lame. They got punked. Ended game with Xavier on 12-2 run.

Have to say for a kid that sure looked sick, Trier had a hell of a 2nd half but missed the game winner. every time they showed a closeup he was coughing or sneezing, had to be sick

A team that lost six straight last month... an ELEVEN seed... against a 30 win team... with an 8 point lead with 2:30 left.

PATHETIC.

Interesting that a coaching move that looked good backfird. He took Ristic out after the out of bounds so Pinder would be in for defense, and then had no timeouts to get Ristic back in the game for offense.

Wouldn't have mattered. On Ristic's last post up I saw I needed to see from him. He didn't work hard to back down his man. He gave up too far from the hoop. He wasn't deep enough to cause a doubleteam to open up someone else, and he put up a short range airball. Ive said it for two years, for a big man he's tissue soft and proves it again with that play and an inability to get position down the stretch. For all their "size" they played small ball around the perimeter with bad shots most of the game. That's Miller's fault. Awful.

If I were Ayton I'd be questioning whether Miller could get me the ball in a position to be effective. Miller was undressed tonight.

And just to head the "if Trier's shot goes in, none of this matters" post that I'm sure is comibg... making an off balance, closely guarded three would have been a massive sigh of relief but it wouldn't mean the coaching down the stretch wasn't awful anyway.

I swear... it seems like in every close game in the tourney A Miller team has played, they never seem to make the plays/stops at the end to move on in the biggest moments.
