Unreal ending tonight against Iowa State. That 50+ foot buzzer beater got a loud reaction out of me.

Was anyone else watching that?
I was just following the box score but loved the last couple minutes of OT.

If after the non-conference portion of the schedule, you would’ve told me they’d either be 8-1 or 1-8 after their first nine B12 games…. I would’ve bet on 1-8 and felt great about it.

Something certainly flipped.

While I hate realignment overall, I think it could be great for Arizona basketball. The Pac had been pretty bad for a long time. Having ~16 of their last 20 games be against cupcakes wasn't a good way to prep for the tourny.

The Caleb Love experience is definitely something else

Ice cold the first 39 minutes and 59 seconds, then white hot.

Kerr Kriisa only with far bigger "upside" outcomes, also not a bit of a headache like Kerr was.

Even UCLA fans were cheering that shot, every win by Arizona helps us since Arizona is one of the best wins on UCLA's record.

I had to stifle my excitement so as to avoid waking up the wife. Showing my 13 year old did get him to sit down and watch OT with me, which he’s never done. Great W.

Don't know if the box score showed how deep the game tying shot was...

I've watched this shot so many times. Best parts about it aside from the actual bucket:

~ISU coach doesnt get out of his squat
~Tommy casually walks back to the bench
~Fran constantly harps on ISU needing to miss the FT and Arizona shooting it from too far (BTW they ran the wrong play on the court)
~Surrender Cobra from the ISU players

Can’t be losing legacy to recruits to SC. Ouch.
I’m not digging Tommy’s recruiting approach. He stopped being aggressive with Arenas a month ago and has put all of his chips into Burries, which is a risky proposition considering that he’s likely going to the highest bidder.

Lute Olson used to offer two guys at one position and would tell them that the first to commit gets the scholarship. He always had a back up. Tommy is the literal definition of putting all of the eggs in one basket.

If Burries and Peat commit, then next season will be fine. But Tommy simply cannot continue to rely on one high school recruit per position per year
