Not much to be bounced around from week to week living out of a suitcase. Jmo
These are young guys just trying to get tape and exposure to build a career. Don’t cry for them. They’re getting opportunities and getting paid fair coin for a week or two.

There should be a rule that teams can't claim players released from teams they play in the next 2 games.

Its abusing players.
Raiders: Hey, Javelin what is Vance Joseph’s scheme like?

Javelin: It’s trash.

Raiders: That’s what we thought…here’s a check for $23,000, good luck to ya’.

Javelin: Wait…that’s it?

If any team is bringing in player cut by the Cardinals it’s a total waste of money.
Just watch the film. You don’t need a cut player to dissect this team.
If a player couldn't make our roster then you really don't want them on your roster.

22. Arizona Cardinals (0-1)

Preseason ranking: 18
You must be registered for see images

Rookie who stood out: DE Cameron Thomas

The Cardinals played just two rookies on Sunday, Thomas and cornerback Christian Matthew. Thomas had a tackle in four snaps and Matthew made a tackle on his only snap. Both could see more reps as the next few games go on because of the struggles Arizona went through Sunday against the Chiefs. -- Josh Weinfuss

They still get paid.

Sure, I bet they love traipsing all the way across the country to spend a week in hotels and hanging around with guys who ignore them because they know they are gone next week.

It's an abuse of the system.

I’m pretty sure guys who are on the total fringe of the league are pretty dam content making 23K for a week. Those guys aren’t millionaires and that’s a lot of money for these guys.

Also, how is it abuse when EVERY team has the option of doing it?

Sign me up. I'm 6'3" and 255 lbs. I'm slow, old, and already had one knee procedure. Seems like I'm a good Keim time signing to me

Players want a legit chance to make a team. Not to be pumped for info for a week and cut again.
Players at that level also have the reality that they need money.

No one is FORCING that player to sign there.

They are FORCING him. Players can't refuse waiver claims. It's part of the CBA. That's why I said the next 2 opponents should be excluded.

Players have to accept claims otherwise they've essentially FA.

OT but I don't get this from the Colts.

He kicked 86% as a rookie. 79% in 5 games last year before injury. He's a good kicker.

If I'm Keim I'd claim him. Prater is done after this year.

Ah. Forgot about waivers. Well, he’s guaranteed a week’s salary after getting dumped by his old team. Bitching about that is stupid if you’re a fringe player who’s guaranteed nothing. And if that’s your role all year, getting waived then getting paid, then guess what… that’s what your role in the league is.

Your solution might make it that the player doesn’t get any money because he has little to no value outside of knowledge of the opponent.

If you’re better than that you’ve got a week to prove it.
