If you're referring to that Cowherd video...Do you see his little smirk and rye smile, when talking about Murray? I love, too, how he says Murray needs someone who can help take the load off (running game), so he's not the only option to the team. I think Sean definitely knows what he'd do with Murray.

Is that now a requirement too? I thought you were required To interview a person that is a minority. Not an external minority??? Or am I wrong?

The rule is it has to be external

I think a change was due just because of the Kyler situation but I don't think Brown is wrong either.

I mean, what do people think the Chiefs record would be if they lost Mahomes, Kelce, Orlando Brown, Creed Humphrey, Joe Thuney, JuJu and Trey Smith for a bunch of games?

The Eagles lost Hurts the last 4 weeks and are 2-2 in that span.

Here we go. Kliffy was fine, just fine! It was injuries. He never had any problems in other seasons, and we didn't suck coming out of the gates. If not for the injuries...Puh-lease.

So far the Broncos net is much wider.

Mike obviously focussing on GM first which to be fair is the right way to go. Most of the guys we would want to interview for HC aren't available for a while. Caldwell just happens to be free.

I wouldn;t be surprised to see a new GM appointed in the next 7 - 10 days.

I just think it's funny that EVERYONE panicked when it was announced that Denver had requested/received permission to interview Payton...lol They are obviously interviewing every former HC that's still alive, as they should.

Don't be surprised if/when Mike does something similar and interviews 15 candidates, even if there's an overwhelming front runner.

Im thinking when Sean was in town for the Fiesta Bowl Mike might have touched base with him then? Look for a formal interview coming soon.

I bet everyone is talking to him quite openly via phone and zoom. or there to be a tampering issue the Saints would have to make a complaint and why would they? It's in their interest to get as many folk as interested as possible.

Teams can't meet with him in person until the 17th due to league rules but I'd guess there is a tonne of behind the scenes talking going on with him.

We didn't suck coming out of the gates. Kyler sucked.

As I've said before we were 3-4 before Pugh, Hudson, Brown, Lawrence and Hump. Then 4-6 before we lost Murray, Ertz, Murphy, Allen etc

In week 8 the bengals were 1 game ahead of us. The Jags were 2-5. The Chargers 1 game ahead. The Lions 1-5. The Niners 3-4.

Kliff has his issues but you'd have to seriously disengage your brain to think a coach that went 8-8 and 11-6 the last 2 years suddenly becomes a 4-13 coach and it's nothing to do with the huge number of starters missing.

We were right in the mix at mid way with a buunch of teams that made the playoffs. We had HUGE numbers of starters missing that nobody could win without.

False. Our defense set records for points against in the first three games of an NFL season. Try again.

Although injuries were part of the problem this year, so was Kliffs play calls and lack of a game plan. He ran the same boring predictable plays game after game. He never had a game plan to taken advantage of the opposing team's weaknesses. Why he didn't start Dortch every game is unbelievable. All he did is produce when given the opportunity. Kliff needed to go. Yes, he had one good season, but he did not seem to be improving.

No chance. Yeah we got spanked by the Chiefs but then only conceded 20 and 23 to the Raiders and Rams.

I can tell you right away with a quick check the 2007 Bengals conceded 20, 51 and 24 in their first 3 games and the 2011 Saints conceded 42, 42 and 33.

The 2019 Dolphins conceded 59, 43 and 31. This is just from looking at early high scoring games. Probably 100 teams had worse starts.

Look at this from man games lost. This if from week 17 but you can see a clear trend and only 4 of the top 15 most injured teams made the playoffs.

And this doesn't factor in positional value. Losing your QB is far more key than a safety.

I hate to tell you, but yes way. I posted the articles in other threads. Our defense was historically bad through the first three games of an NFL season. Deny it all you want, but you're just shouting (or typing) into a void.

Were we in a position, in a pathetic conference, to drag ourselves back to relevance had many things other than injuries also gone our way, and we managed to stay healthy? Yes. Does that mean we were a good team? No.

I don't care what you posted. These are all facts and whoever said we were worse in NFL history is nuts.

All these are more. I'm certain I could find 50 more.

Might be worse in Cards history but I doubt even that.

Nope. I believe it was in 1st quarter/1st half scoring. You know, setting up the offense that sucks for failure already. And these aren't facts coming from me, but--if you recall the articles--legitimate sources. So, a defense that set up a bad offense for failure. But, nah, we didn't stink at all lol

Ok so it's not defense its the rather minor and obscure stat of 1st quarter scoring.

True. And I’d like to add just about EVERY team is “ in it” at the half way point…and then we lost to the teams we needed to beat to be a playoff team. Then went on to lose another 5 in a row.

It's not true. Not even close.
