Kevin Durant has a $54,708,608 expiring contract next season.

There is no use pretending it's a level field. A star player has a say in where he plays in the future.

And a team wants to know if they invest assets and money in a player, he wants to stay there.

Luka got traded without having a say in it. Can’t get bigger than him for stars.

all them fans talking mad ish about beal refusing to go - he was never asked to go - i take this to be true for one major reason - not because jj said so but because miami didn't want beal (and his contract) - im guessing miami told jj that beal was a nonstarter from the very beginning - yet beal was villainized by the casual fans - not for his subpar play but for refusing to board a plane that never existed

far as kd goes - grown ass man - sensitive as all hell - probably got into another twitter fight with some rando nobody today - truth is he can't be mad - ish and jj didn't make a deal and then tell him - nah - kd was informed of the situation - got to say his piece and ultimately got his way - so he better have a coke - smile - and shut the funk up

when your team sucks for the reason the suns do - when it's not the lack of talent but the lack of focus - care - and determination - you can't blame the front office for exploring different avenues - well you can - but you're already half way gone if you do

There is a cost and a risk of doing it this way as addressed by Brian Windhorst.

Yeah but that's a pretty unique situation. Dallas was even willing to take back far less value in order to keep it quiet, that's not the case with a KD trade. I hope that we would have made the trade regardless of KD's wishes but given the kind of person KD is, I just don't see any way that GS would have given up assets knowing he didn't want to play for them.

Suns fans be like:

1. We are bad because of our owner (Sarver). Again, we are bad because of our owner (Ishbia).

2. Our GM sucks. (Lance Blanks, McDonough, James Jones, etc.)

3. Our coach is bad (Monty). Again, our coach is bad (Vogel). Currently, our coach is bad (Budenholzer).

4. Our players are terrible (Just guessing but Suns have had about a quarter to half of the league come through Phoenix).

No point, just an observation.

The really bad part is GS has a connection to him. There is a very good chance that is the best offer we will ever get.
It also says that the team that really knows him was willing to pay significantly for him. So I’m unsure your statement is accurate.

Coach Bud is right. The only stat that stands out for our team is 3P%. We are 4th in that category. You would assume we should get our attempts per game up to take advantage of that.

It's becoming normal again. These things ebb and flow.
I hope it does. I’ve gotten tired of players dictating what they will and wont do.
Whether you agree or disagree with the return, Doncic to Lakers never happens if it goes public. Too many voices is exhausting

This is sports fandom and not limited to the Suns. You can replace the names for the Cardinals, DBacks, Cowboys, Lakers, etc.

Championship teams require all 4 sections to align, ownership that enables the front office with tools to build a team. A front office who builds a team that the coach can find success with. A coach who can maximize the talent of the players. The players playing up to their full potential. That's why there isn't an easy blueprint for a championship. You can create regular contenders with 3 of 4 but to actually succeed and reach the heights of a league then all 4 must align for a period of time.
