Early in the year, Conner was mostly getting goal line carries. That changed when Chase got dinged up.

I wanted the Cardinals to resigned Conner but $7 million was a bit rich. Granted, Chase signed for $6 million, so a million more for a player who is substantially better around the goal line isn't crazy.

Personally, I'll be happier if the Cardinals could score a solid pass rusher and another WR. They have some roster options for both, but I think there is some need.

The Cardinals are just hesitant to give up any of their upcoming flexibility. They have TONS of cap room coming up. That means they can basically resign all of their best young players AND add some talent.
I’m curious who you classify as such?

Kyler, Thompson, Byron and . . . who else? I would’ve classified kirk and Edmonds being closest to that description but they’re gone.

I feel like we paid for the TD production which is not likely to be repeated.
I agree. While Conner ended up being a fat superior receiver than I expected he’s essentially a short yardage runner. And while there’s a value to that skill, it’s never been considered a premium skill. And frankly the TD #s are subject to opportunity set. He doesn’t see that TD number without a lot of yards getting him that opportunity that are now gone (at least at present date) - 2,744 between green, kirk, and Edmonds.

There is a difference in explaining what the Cardinals are doing versus supporting it.

Bro you are so quick to attack...I never once stated they are doing the right thing. I think you need to check your head
Good to know. I thought you were pro the moves as well from reading your posts. But then again, cheese and I often have similar perceptions.

On a reasonable contract I’d have been okay with, but not at what he got. But that’s not the point. If krang is excited about being able to re-sign our “young talent” he and Edmonds would have been closest to that definition other than Jalen and kyler imo, no?

I laughed yesterday when I saw consternation about not signing Zadarius Smith yesterday. The same people wringing their hands about not signing, would have been the same people who pointed out his injury history if we had signed him.

People were upset at the beginning of last off-season too. Keim lets the first wave go and then hits the second wave.

I had consternation about not signing him.

I wouldn't have pointed out injury history as I have never used that as a reason to not sign someone.

They HAVE to take a chance on someone to fill the massive gap that Keim created by not signing EITHER Jones or Reddick to a new contract.

Losing 2 elite pass rushers for, at best, a 5th round compensatory pick with no replacements on the roster is some next level idiocy.

And this is from the guy that people think is currently outsmarting every other GM in the league? Mercy.

Who has said this? I haven't seen it anywhere by anyone. I don't believe there's anyone on this board that thinks that.

Even his mom can't call him the smartest
I think he believes that, its clear reading some of his past decisions
Btw i have nothing against him, not his fault being confirmed after failing in adding young players through the draft and poorly managing the cap room with questionable free agents additions
The problem of this franchise has onlya name and nothing will change anytime soon
Do u think in any other franchise Keim and rod Graves would have lasted so long?

No doubt.
Cant even blame Keim for real. Its Bidwill's fault for giving him that extension. Even if he knew he was always giving him a new deal. Just let him feel the pressure this offseason and see how he responds.

Unfortunately, Mike plays checkers instead of chess.

As far as the draft I really hope the Falcons don't draft a WR at 8. That will screw us big time in terms of getting the top guys left.

No. Its just been a few mocks still have them going WR at 8. Im hoping they take a QB like Willis or Pickett.
About The Falcons
I don't like this qb class in round 1, i would wait later rounds and maybe add Fitzpatrick as a bridge qb
Probably i would even trading down and getting future picks

With the bargain basement wait and see approach combined with few high-end draft picks, Keim MUST have some "cunning plan" and think he's the "smartest guy in the room" and can pull the wool over the eyes of the rest of the league. Since you and others think he's doing a good job...

We can debate all day long but the bottom line is that at this point in time the Cards team is worse than it was at the end of the season. I just hope that changes.
Well said. With few top draft picks and a now extremely thin FA crop at positions of need, I'm wondering how the holes will be plugged to even get us back to last year's standard.
