stating that to the press was career suicide.

You can say it to your mom and dad, but never to the press.

The team will find out...as every NFL team will and a scared NFL player won't be in uniform long. There's a reason we drafted 2 RB's...it's not cause they trust RW.

Coach was yelling at RW during OTA's because he was always looking for the cut back and not following his blockers.

RW is 50/50 to make the team. Figure 3 rb's make it. Mendenhall, Stephon Taylor are locks and it'll be down to RW and the other draft pick. Cards can clear RW from his 2nd round money and only have to pay 7th round cash for a RB that hasn't been oft injured nor talking about running scared.

I enjoy when RW gets the ball as he gets chunks of yardage, but the -'s are adding up.

we have carried 4 or more RBs for years.

Disagree. How can the team help Williams if he doesn't admit to what he needs to be successful? Clearly, this is a mental issue. The team has sport psychologists at its disposal to help him overcome this obstacle.

Arians loves Williams and gushed about him when he was hired. I don't think he's going to give him a demerit for this. As a matter of fact, it would probably be looked at positively if he gets help and proves he can play without hesitation.

I hear what you are saying, but this is the NFL. How long are they going wait for him to not be scared? Are they supposed to be glad he told everyone including opponents how scared he was. The team had sport psychs last year too. if he is tentative again, do you expect the Cardinals to be warm and fuzzy and keep a guy who is not mentally equipped to play?

That would be a standard of patience not common in the NFL.

I appreciate his honesty. I've torn my ACL in both knees, so I know the fear of getting hurt again when attempting sports. You do your best to push it out of your mind, but when your body doesn't respond the way it used to, it's a reminder of the repaired state your knee is in.

Hopefully he feels 100 percent, because he has talent if he can stay on the field.

He said it in February when Football was over. Non issue if you ask me.

I'm pulling for the kid. He has been through a lot. His knee should be as good as it will ever be now. So hopefully he can get past that mental hurdle.

Obviously this is his last chance with the Cardinals. One full preseason to prove he deserves a spot on the roster. Hopefully he can return to that explosive kid we saw in training camp his rookie year.

Did you cut and paste that that from last year?

Ok stop talking now.

+1

Between Williams and Colledge....... those are the leading canidates for the Cardinals Eric Winston award.

This award is for player who get over hyped for their ability because the best thing they do as football players is talk. So for some reason because they love to talk to the press so much, their actual football ability is GREATLY exaggerated.

I don't know why a RB that has been a ghost for this team gets so much attention

Guess you guys beat me to it.

Good call on Winston, Rugby. He's a regular on Sirius.

Patellar tendon is usually a two-year injury for fully recovery, isn't it? I remember being surprised he was coming back from it last year.

It's pure coach speak.

BA also said he believes in #75 as a elite LT. :bang: Wtf? Seriously...Levi isn't elite in the CFL...just sayin. ;)

RW needs to prove to everyone he can play more than a few games.

Many times its a career ending injury, which I think is going to be the case here.

#75 is elite....elite at making average DE's look like all pro's and future HOF'ers
then the same DE plays next week vs a decent T and gets shut down.

elite at giving career days to defensive players.

 Amen

Why we resigned this assclown after admitting failure once is beyond stupid IMO. Can wait to hear the supporters "oh he played well the last 1/2 of 2012" come about week 5 when Palmer gets blindsided a few plays. :mulli:

I wouldn't judge him too harshly. I watched the HofF Dion Sanders actually step aside and run out of bounds to avoid having to tackle someone. And he wasn't playing injured at the time.

Agreed. Judging him harshly would take too much energy. Why waste it on player that was so horrible.

I forgot, where did Arrington play after the Cardinals let him go?

This is ridiculous, everyone giving Ryan Williams a free pass. He is admitting to taking a dive on the field and playing scared. I'm not saying that I wouldn't be terrified coming back from a knee injury, but you have to know when to show that fear and when to show confidence and strength. This is the NFL and the norm is to show toughness and resolve by working through injuries.
